12 oz. bottle shared. Pours a clear dark caramel color with zero head. The aroma and flavor have honey, alcohol, some of the doppelbock character, cherry, vanilla, slight woody quality. I like their more traditional meads bettter but this was decent.

[4960-20121118] 12floz bottle. Toasted honey sweet aroma. Clear, dark amber body has no head. Sweet toasted fruit grain malt flavour. Medium body. Interesting to sample, not unbalanced. (7/2/7/4/14) 3.4

2012-11-18. Lovely crisp dark brown body, headless. 3+ Sweet aroma, honey, modest alcohol, muted sweet malt/caramel like notes but that is not quite it. Flavour is quite sweet, notes of syrupy honey, light sweet grainy touches in the aroma and flavour but pleasantly so. Muted tea like tannins in the finish. Alcohol is shockingly mild considering the strength. Enjoyable, sweet and fairly simple. Smooth not quite syrupy average plus to medium bodied palate. Bottle, note on cap says 12/2011 via trade with flandersned

Bottle shared by Steve. Pours dark brown. Nose/taste of tobacco, caramel, honey and brown sugar. Long-lasting bitter finish. Medium body.

Bottle via trade with punkrkr27! Dark mahogany pour with a few bubbles an zero head. Similar dark fruit, prune and raisin as the lager but with the added sweetness of honey. Abviously, not a lot of carbonation. Nothing distinct or anything to ignite the palate. Needs a bit to make this exciting. Not there.

Bottle generously shared by biggsbowler. Cinnamon nose. Clear light brown pour with no head. Lots of cinnamon, perhaps Bride of Cinnamonster is the base mead, with muted honey notes. I didn’t get much in the way of anything other than the mead characteristics.

Clear brown reddish looking. Tobacco, honey on the nose and sweet alcohol. Taste is a tobacco, honey flavor with a lingering bitterness. Overall the mead makes a terrible beer mediocre.

Bottle shared by alexsdad06. Poured clear dark brown color with good legs. Moderate to heavy dark honey and fruit aroma. Medium to full body with a smooth rich texture and long finishing legs. Medium to heavy dark honey flavor with a rich sweet finish of moderate to long duration. Pleasing rich flavor.

Thanks andrewsdad. Lots of honey on the nose. Bronze body with no head whatsoever. Sweet mixture of flavors I can’t really put my finger on, but its really sweet

Bottle, this mead had a clear red-ruby pour with some bronze color at the sides of the glass, and made an island of a head of faint off-white bubbles that dissipated quickly, there was no ring in the glass, effervescence was light with a small slow moving stream of bubbles in the center of the glass, this drink had no lacing, swirling the glass revealed there were legs on the sides of the glass, there was a small ring (less then a 1/8” wide) of sediment on the bottom of the bottle, there were aromas of faint wine, floral scents, cherry, raspberry and other berry, honey alcohol, honey and berry sweetness, it does not smell like 16% alc. (meads hide their alcohol better than beers?), flavors were cherry and berry, honey alcohol, honey and fruit sweetness, a little bitterness from the alcohol after the finish (a little alcohol flavor but nothing that took away from enjoying the drink, mouth feel was a little less than medium that felt like there was very little to little carbonation, this is a sipping drink (with the 16% alcohol).
