Double Rice India Pale Ale. This gold colored West Coast style Double India Pale Ale has an intense hop nose, with aromas mainly of citrus. The high hop character dominates this IPA’s flavor pro-file. Made with American long grain rice, it is quite difficult to make but the rice con-tributes to this beer’s crisp aftertaste.

On tap @ Henrik, Bergen. Pours a slightly hazy light orange body with a small white head. Nose is peaches, white chewing gum, sweet grains and hints of resin, pumpkin pie and clove. Taste is red berries, honey, soapy hops, white sugar and hints of resin and melon. Medium to full body, medium carbonation. A bit strange, but fair enough.

Draft - Sweet caramel and grapefruit with some pine. Clear gold with a scent white head. Grapefruit and a very nice balanced caramel sweetness. Solid for the style.

On tap at Henrik. A lightly unclear light golden beer with a small, dense, white head. The aroma is quite hoppy, with citrus, peaches, pine cones and a sweetish maltyness. It’s lightly sweet on the palate, with bitterness enough to deal with it. Peaches, pine cones, resins and some grass notes. Lasting bitter finish. A bit alcoholic this one, but nice anyway. 140906

Tap at CBC 2014. Deep golden in the glass, small head. Quite fruity aroma like peaches. Starts intense hoppy, spicy, more and more fruity like peaches, some lemon, light sourish. Well balanced finish. Really nice!

Went by kuhnhenn’s for the first time a couple nights ago on my way home from work and tried the Dripa. I told the bartender I usually am an ipa drinker and they suggested a plethora of IPAs that they offer. I decided to try the dripa due to its award winning status and I was not dissappointed. Excellent IPA with great flavors and aroma.

on tap on the premises. slightly hazy very pale yellow pour with a thin white cap showing some retention, sticky lacing. grapefruit, catpiss, weed, juicy fruitiness - some tropical notes too amongst yellow fruits, sweetish pale maltiness - not too sugary for its abv - then again, it is now at a respectable 8.5%, danky melons, grass, pepper and lightly tingling booze. moderately low carbonation, medium body - oily, semi-sweet and assertive weedy-piney-peppery-citrusy-grapefruity finish. fresh and tasty. excellent!
