Double Rice India Pale Ale. This gold colored West Coast style Double India Pale Ale has an intense hop nose, with aromas mainly of citrus. The high hop character dominates this IPA’s flavor pro-file. Made with American long grain rice, it is quite difficult to make but the rice con-tributes to this beer’s crisp aftertaste.

Double rice IPA. Color orange, quite bright for double IPA. Short lasting head. Very sweet aroma. Taste better. Dry, bitter, not much of citruses from american hops. A bit watery.

Decent beer. The rice is somewhat detectable due to some freshness, but this can also be done with more citrussy hops.

Had a taste on tap at the brewery. Solid, but I would expect something that’s almost 10% abv to deliver a little more on flavor. Nice dryness from the rice, though.

Fresh peachy aroma. A bit hazy light yellow color with light white head. Taste has hoppy peach with some citrus and fruits. Medium aftertaste and medium tastespectrum. Light palate, medium carbonation.

On tap at Fraser's. The pour is a clear gold. I love the clarity and the white filmy head. The lacing that's left is just incredible. The aroma is definitely hoppy. The rice offers more of a resin-ey sweetness that you'd expect from a non-standard IPA. The flavor is crisp. Very hop dominated with light citrus tones and a very dry aftertaste. The mouth feel is very solid, thin but clingy, and the bitterness lingers on the aftertaste. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Impressive. Hoppy and resin aromas and a little different. Golden copper color with a foamy head. A little lighter than the standard Double IPA, which I assume was partly due to the rice used. Clean and crisp palate that was really quite smooth. Good full hoppy flavors with a mild sweetness in the middle. Very easy to drink and the alcohol is hidden well.
