COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The Duvil in Miss Jones is a Sour Belgian Golden Ale. Brewed as an homage to the world-class Duvel, but with a twist, as in a lemony acidity that provides just enough tartness without being overbearing. The tart notes also help mask the alcohol, at 8.5% ABV.

We cellared this brew for 2 years after bottling, releasing it at the Winter Solstice Celebration this past December 2014.

2011 bottle. About 3 years old. Thanks Tammy. Hazy light orange pour with very little head. Aroma is mixture of fruit juice and Belgian yeast. Oranges, passion fruit, cherry, banana, and berries. Tastes moderately sweet and juicy. Like banana and citrus juice. Nice tartness in the finish. Cool beer. I had this fresh and don’t remember liking it much. Like most Kuhnhenn, this is better with age.

Bottle from Rayl101! Pours a clear amber color with and eggshell head. Aroma has grape/wine/vinous notes and some brown sugar as well. Taste is sweet with more wine notes, sweet malt, light bitterness. There is also a bit of tart here. Interesting

Growler. Pours a clear gold with a white head. Yeasty clove aroma with pale malt aromas. Flavor is quite yeasty, bubble gum and clove, with pale malts, some hoppy citrus, herbal and pear flavors. Quite a nice homage to Duvel.

Bottle. 12 oz. Split with Vinny. Care of the Vinster. Pours turbid orange with a thin, wispy-laced white head. Aroma of strawberry, raspberry, blackberries, currants, blueberries, and some honey, funk, and varnish. Taste is some raspberry jam, with a bunch of strawberry and tart, oceany savory notes. Little sour in the finish. Fuck yeah. Great beer all around. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Tap at Pony with Streets and Paul last night. Pours light orange/amber. Not much of an aroma. Some dried fruit, belgian yeast and surprising bitterness on the palate. Not a huge fan, but it wasn’t bad.
