On tap at pony bar. Dry and dusty ale... Yeasty, grapes and slight plum. Not my thing usually but this is nice

UPDATED: MAR 25, 2014 [Bottle, 2011 / 2 years old] Moderately hazy, golden-amber body with a quickly fading white head. Aroma is mild with notes of lightly tart wheat, lemon, light orange zest, grass, yeast, bread, & musty spice. Taste is actually a little sour with some wheat, lemon, Belgian yeast & spices, & a little bit of white pepper. It’s like a lightly soured version of Duvel. Sour, dry wheat & yeast finish with a touch of must. I assume some of the sourness wasn’t as present fresh, but it’s actually quite nice.

Sampled at bottleshare. 2011 bottle. Wasn’t sure of the style, whole have guessed Berliner, but with a bigger body. Slight sour. Slight tart. Very smooth and refreshing.

Bottle. 12 oz. Split with Vinny. Care of the Vinster. Pours turbid orange with a thin, wispy-laced white head. Aroma of strawberry, raspberry, blackberries, currants, blueberries, and some honey, funk, and varnish. Taste is some raspberry jam, with a bunch of strawberry and tart, oceany savory notes. Little sour in the finish. Fuck yeah. Great beer all around. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

2011 bottle from flandersned-thanks, Steve! Deep gold, no head. Light carbonation. Nose of pineapple, other tropical fruit. Taste follows, full bodied and sweet finish. Tasty.

Growler. Pours a clear gold with a white head. Yeasty clove aroma with pale malt aromas. Flavor is quite yeasty, bubble gum and clove, with pale malts, some hoppy citrus, herbal and pear flavors. Quite a nice homage to Duvel.

Tap at Pony with Streets and Paul last night. Pours light orange/amber. Not much of an aroma. Some dried fruit, belgian yeast and surprising bitterness on the palate. Not a huge fan, but it wasn’t bad.

On tap at the brewpub. Bright appearance. Fairly light and sweet flavor. A little bit of hoppiness. Innocuous, fairly average belgian-style blonde with a higher than normal ABV. Not bad but probably wouldn’t get again.

Clownoisseur (212) - Buchanan, Michigan, USA - MAY 29, 2014
2011 bottle. Pours a bright golden, with a small white head, moderate lacing. Aromas of tart apple, hay, light spice, bread and earthy hops. Taste is slightly tart, wheat laden but light. Nicely refreshing, but seems to missing something in the finish. Semi-dry. Light spice and clove. Decent brew.
