3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 tupalev (2730) - Waterloo, Ontario, CANADA - JUL 25, 2006
Draught at the brewpub (or was it on cask?). Very malty, earthy, roasty aroma - excellent. Amber pour, white head. Nice sweet taste: very sticky toffee with appropriate English hops. Medium to thick body. A very good interpretation of the style, I really enjoyed it.
3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 goldtwins (4320) - Nesconset, New York, USA - MAY 3, 2006
Draft @ Kuhnhenn: Clear amber color with an off-white head. Light earthy hop, fruity with caramel. A little sweaty. The flavor consisted of caramel and earthy hop. Light hop and bitterness on the finish. Light to medium body.
3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 flemdawg (503) - Naples, Florida, USA - DEC 7, 2004
From the bottle. Orangeish color with LOTS of chucks that looked like that Orbitz drink that was out a long time ago. Zero head. Yeasty, hoppy, and malty aroma. Citrusy(lemon) sour taste, some yeasty notes. Maybe this was a bit past its prime, the taste was weak overall.
3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 Jfishback13 (275) - Royal Oak, Michigan, USA - JUL 14, 2002
First of all, Kuhnhenn’s has a nice little setup going on. Free, greasy popcorn substitues the need of a food menu. HJeck, last time I was there, they had ordered pizza and just said, ’help yourself.’ Noe the beers all have an honest, yet slighty strong malt flavor. At first sampling, I was nt a big fan, but the flavor grows on you and makes them a bit different from the norm. I do recommend.
3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 blankboy (4454) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - JUL 28, 2006
Draught at Kuhnhenn. Pours a clear amber with a small diminishing white head. Fairly mild aroma of UK hops, caramel malt and fruit. Flavour stars sweet with caramel malt and fruit and finishes with UK hops. Light to medium bodied. Pretty good.
3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 HogTownHarry (4872) - Toronto (Harbourfront), Ontario, CANADA - JUL 24, 2006
UPDATED: JUL 26, 2006 Draught. At the brewpub with blankboy, GregClow, jerc and tupalev. Slightly hazy pale amber, white head. Aroma of herbal hops and toasty caramel malt. Taste is grain, caramel malt - sweet and syrupy, unremarkable palate/mouthfeel - just okay, a little syrupy for my taste, but it finishes a little hoppy.
3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20 CaptainCougar (6847) - Columbia, Maryland, USA - JUL 14, 2006
On tap at the brewpub on 4/27/06: Pours a clear copper amber with a thin wispy-lacing white head. Sweet crystal malty nose has decent English hoppy balance. First sip is of nice subtle caramel sweetness, turning more dry and bittersweet toward the finish.
3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 13/20 Sammy (6129) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - JUN 28, 2006
Light body, very bitter, a bit of colour to it. I like casked ale, this was average but serviceable.

I assume this goes here (ESB). On tap at the Kuhnhenn’s Brew Pub. Poured a medium amber color with a small sized head. Aromas and tastes of citrus, some floralness, and lightly earthy. Lighter fruitiness in the tastes too.
