3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
UPDATED: APR 14, 2015 Tap @ Kuhnhenn: Pale straw-yellow in color. Almost like Mottís apple juice with a mild haze. Small, foamy, bright white head fades quickly. Highly citric hop aroma, also with some very faint undertones of tropical fruits as well. Orange rind, peach, grapefruit peel, pineapple, & a hint of mango. Lots of pine, resin, moderate hemp oil, & a touch of floral notes in the periphery. The flavor showcases that raw hop abrasion even more. Heavy notes of pine sap, pine needles, resinous hop oils, & staunch florals make quick work of the palate. Nice level of bitterness. The back-end shows a brighter side once the initial hop bite fades; citrus peel, grass, grapefruit, peach. Wet & slightly weedy finish; crisp body, just a touch oily. Like a mini-DRIPA in a lot of ways. Really tasty stuff.

Draft at Kalamazoo Beer Exchange. Pours orange with a thin white head. Leaves a lot of white lacing. Nice floral notes on the nose. Solid grapefruit notes on the nose. Feels a bit thin on the tongue. Itís a clean finisher. Not as exciting as Iíd hoped.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
On tap poured into a sampler. Aromas not too dissimilar to Pine-sol start this one off along acute notes of pepper and some citrus late. It pours a clear, pale honey gold color with a soft white head that reduces to a medium thin ring with a light dusty surface. It leaves a good amount of dense, small bubble lace. The taste is a medium bitter and medium sweet blend. The light bodied, thin textureded beer has a big, fuzzy and grainy carbonation. Flavors of lemon rind and spice come through on the dry qnd crisp finish. The aftertaste is grassy with citrus rind; itís mellow, but it lingers. Itís slightly astringent, too. Overall, it makes for a very sessionable beer.

Catching up ratings......... On tap at Detroit Airport. Pours a pale golden color with a small white head. Aroma of lots of tropical and citrus fruits mixed together. Taste had pineapple and mango, but I also gotsome bitter citrus taste of pineapple. Nice light body, low alcohol, but very good and tasty. I had a couple flights to try many beers and this one was one of the better ones I had on a long layover. I ordered a full glass after.
