Nov 9, 2009 Sample at GABF 2009. Pours a yellow color with thin white head. Aroma is sweet and floral with notes of honey, yeast, bread, banana, light spice. Flavor is about the same. Generally light to medium body with a pleasing light citrus finish. Nice ale.

Oct 12, 2009 GABF 2009. Nice hazy straw color with a small but creamy white head. Aroma is banana, clove, wheat, and yeast. Fairly intense for the style. Flavor is to style with lots of banana and clove, wheat, bubble gum, and lemon. Pretty tasty. Palate is crisp and refreshing with medium-light body. Good example of the style.

Sep 17, 2009 Tap at the Blind Tiger. Ouch. Loaded with bubblegum, sugar, super yeasty. Pretty wild, extreme hefe notes. Whoa. Desperately needs some balance. A little bit of spiciness wouldn’t hurt either.

Sep 8, 2009 Tap at the Blind Tiger: Cloudy golden with a dense white film of head. Extreme banana esters in the aroma- starts feeling a bit acetone like. Has a light and fluffy body. True hefe flavor with tons of German yeast phenols. Mainly banana. It’s quite simplistic with only that typical Weihestephaner yeast profile. True to style, but boring.

Sep 5, 2009 On tap at the Blind Tiger at their Kuhnhenn event. Pours a hazy apricot amber with a thin white head. BANANAS! Biggest pile of banana yeast smell I’ve had on a beer in …maybe ever. Medium body, loads more banana flavor and light wheat and yeastiness.

Sep 4, 2009 Tap at Blind Tiger. The pour is very hazy and yellow. The nose is like banana puree. Sweet and very estery but also quite one dimensional. Flavour is full-bodied and wheaty but also loaded with lots of lingering banana flavour. There is a little bit of marshmallow as well. It’s pretty nice though.

Poured hazy orange color with an average fizzy white head that mostly lasted with good lacing. Moderate banana, clove and citrus aroma. Medium body with a sticky texture and soft carbonation. Medium sweet flavor with a solid sweet finish of moderate duration.
Good refreshing brew.

Jun 21, 2009 Had a Kuhnhenn Summer Solstice, on draft. Pale golden color with thin white head. Aroma of lemon, coriander, wheat. Taste is cloves, yeast, citrus, and wheat. Quenching medium mouthfeel. Pretty good!
