Golden cloudy wheat beer. This is a true to style beer. Made using mostly malted wheat and a special yeast which gives this beer it’s destinct banana and clove flavors and aromas.

My first kuhnhenn beer ever and a good what at that!!!! Big thanks to Beerman6686 for this extra in our great trade. This beer was poured from a 12 oz bottle into a curved schell’s glass. It’s a very murky ( can’t see through it) dark yellow color with a very think head that fades quick to nothingness. Smell is of lemons and yeast. Taste is nicely carbonated with some citrus upfront and the finish is yeasty and sweet with a slightly bitter after taste that makes you take another sip. Well rounded brew, thanks Beerman6686

On tap @ GABF. Hazy golden pour with a white head. Woah. Banana juice on the nose. Some clove, sweet bread, wheat, and a ton of banana. Light apple and orange. Flavor is dominated by sweet banana. Spicy clove, a bit of bready malt, wheat, yeast, and orange peel.

GABF 2013. Titled "Kuhnieweizen". Pours a milky yellow appearance with a white head. Really heavy esters and phenols in the nose - banana, lemon, orange, clove. Flavor wasn’t too bad and pretty easy to drink but it was kind of a banana bomb. Would like to try again.

On tap at Kuhnhenn. Cloudy light yellow. Banana-cream aroma. Taste: banana, vanilla, clove; great! Smooth light body. A great example of a Hefeweizen.

Cloudy gold beer, decent white head. Creamy wheat malt and minerals on the nose and a touch of cloves. Crisp semi dry palate, frothy in the mouth. Creamy wheat malt. Minerals. Tangy orange and banana cream. Pinch of cloves. Minerally dry finish. Overall quite a tangy weiss.

On tap at Kuhnhenn’s Brew Pub. Poured a yellow color with a small sized head. Bananas and cloves/spiciness were there, but somewhat on the muted and watery side.

The beer is hazy, straw yellow hued and teeming with clear, spritzer-like bubbles, but yields no head. Odd. The aroma offers some malt, spice, and banana, but is milder than is customary for the style. The taste is alright, but falls a bit short. Plenty of yeasty, doughy, bread flavors, with a general lack of banana and clove. The body is thin, with moderately low carbonation. A bit watery. Overall, this was drinkable and OK stuff. With Weihenstephaner Hefeweissbier readily available in six packs, I don’t see myself having this one again. Serving type: bottle Reviewed on: 08-15-2011

Bottle. Pineapple, light banana, wheat malt, and very light clove aroma. Cloudy creamy golden with a moderate white head. Sweet tart pineapple, wheat malt, and light spicy flavor. Medium to full creamy body, moderate carbonation. Really enjoyed this one.
