   AROMA 8/10   APPEARANCE 4/5   TASTE 8/10   PALATE 4/5   OVERALL 16/20
HogTownHarry (6042) - Toronto (Harbourfront), Ontario, CANADA - SEP 15, 2012
November 24, 2011 - with blankboy, jerc and mabel. Clear nip bottle c/o J&K. Hazy pale gold with no head, nice legs 4? Aroma is buckwheat honey, alcohol, marigolds and tons of musty/dusty dry oak. Taste is really, really good - like orange blossom honey, less oak, some grassy bitterness, less pungent floral character. Syrupy and lightly sticky mouthfeel, a little boozy ... terrific.

[4147-20111124] Tiny clear bottle. Orange honey lemon zest hops aroma. Slightly hazy, bright orange body with no lasting head. Sweet orange tangerine honey hops flavour. Medium body is almost sickly sweet. Canít tell thereís alcohol until a few minutes later, just a touch too sweet. (10/3-/8/4/18) 4.3

2011-11-24. Lightly hazy peachy-gold body. 3+ Lovely yet bizarre aroma, fruit, ice wine like fruit character, light alcohol vapours, vaguely leafy. 7+ Quite sweet, sweet orangey-citrus like character, interesting melange of flavours in the finish, orange, vegetation, bit of orange zest. Super interesting. Velvety soft medium bodied palate. An experience. Bottle from Kuhnhenn, Warren

MeadMe (1284) - Riverview, Florida, USA - NOV 1, 2011
Pours a nice rich orange hue. Aromas of wildflower honey, orange juice, and a field of flowers. Flavor is lightly sweet up front. Waxy honey with a nice floral quality. Citrus with a touch of grass, mildly bitter. More sweet honey in the finish slightly green and earthy. Wonderful a real gem of a hopped mead.

courtesy of flandersned, thank you! pretty typical mean pour, thin straw yellow with nice legs. nice aroma, mostly sweet mead with a faint hop lingering. the hops are a lil more pronounced in the flavor, giving it a slight bitterness that balances it nicely imo. very smooth, no abv showing up whatsoever, sweet but not too thick, clean and neutral dryness on the palate.
