COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This black in color imperial stout’s aro-ma is lead by coffee and dry roasty notes. Crème Brulè coffee is brewed and added post-fermentation. This killer stout is highly sought after at every tasting we take it to.

Poured black. Strong smell of Bourbon with hints of chocolate and cherry. The alcohol burns through at the end. It has a somewhat creamy texture, but also a bit like syrup.

Vibrant dark black with faltering tan ringed head. Nose is ridiculous. Very fresh almost cooling oxidation unleashes a rich vanilla scent and lashes of molasses. There’s a nibble of coffee but little room for much else. Firm coffee sweetness, like an expensive Starbucks, but a dense sourness swept in was a bit of a head scratcher. Finish was the coffee struggling back into play. It was like a coffee left overnight that slapped you in the face but had to swallow it and it felt a bit right. Just. Would have have loved to dabble with this earlier on in it’s life.
Just amazing how the nose held without leaking any rusty vinegar in the finish of the taste.

Bottle, Deeblo Doesn’t Rate Tasting, Thanks to Craig & Secret Santa

Bottle at Craig’s, thanks! Near black, thin crema head. Slightly oxidised, warm fruity coffee, slight orange fruit nose. Slight dark chocolate sweetness, big vinegar sourness. Definitely off, could have been great!

Bottle, thanks Craig. Near black with not much head. Aroma is incredible, pungent vanilla and chocolate, some oxidised notes that work well with the vanilla. Taste has some sharp sour notes, like vinegar vanilla chocolate. Very tart sourness. Not sure it’s meant to be sour, be much better of it wasn’t.

Bottle at Craig?s house. Very tart. Not my thing. Dark with no head. Sour very quickly after the sweet.

Great kuhnhenn offering. Poured from growler into a tulip. Dark pour with tan head. Smells a coffee shop and bakery. Drinks surprising light. Seems dry, taste like a frothy cup of coffee with a little bittering aftertaste. Great imp stout, maybe wish it was a little more body.

Big coffee burnt caramel and sweet creamy sugar nose. Very reminiscent of creme butler. Nice. Dark brown pour with no head. Espresso up front, caramel vanilla and burnt sugar notes. 7_11 vanilla coffee creamer. Nice mix of coffee and vanilla. Sharp carbonation long dry finish.

This one poured a medium brown color with a frothy beige head. Aroma was of milk chocolate, cappucino, light vanilla, and dark roasted coffee. Flavor was sweeter chocolate stout upfront, followed by a huge rush of delishious coffee bitterness. One of my favorite coffee stouts.

Smells like java. Good sense of Indonesia here though it doesn’t quite remind me of Bintang. Bitter, good consistency. some lacing. This undetailed rating another victim of a late night drinking session. Tap at Hopcat.

Definitely a sipper. Heavy malt flavors. Lots of chocolate, toffee, burnt sugars, caramel and dark fruits.
