This black in color imperial stout’s aro-ma is lead by coffee and dry roasty notes. Crème Brulè coffee is brewed and added post-fermentation. This killer stout is highly sought after at every tasting we take it to.

On tap at Kuhnhenn brewery. Black with a light brown head. Smells just like coffee ice cream. Sweet, roasty, creamy, with a dry finish. Medium body, and a little too flat for my liking. Not terribly "imperial", but good nonetheless.

This one poured a medium brown color with a frothy beige head. Aroma was of milk chocolate, cappucino, light vanilla, and dark roasted coffee. Flavor was sweeter chocolate stout upfront, followed by a huge rush of delishious coffee bitterness. One of my favorite coffee stouts.

UPDATED: DEC 25, 2013 On draft at the Kuhnhenn Winter Solstice. The pour is black, with a lighter khaki head and a decent lace. The aroma is very heavy in coffee, with a decent crème brûlée positive note. The bit of roastyness that exists is pretty drown out by the coffee. The flavor is initially very bitter. The caramel mores come through about half way through and it finishes a little dry and slightly strange for an imperial. Overall it’s a good stout, but the aromas led me to believe this would be incredible where the flavors just let it down a bit ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

On tap at the brewpub. Black pour with a tan head. Coffee and dark roasted malt in the aroma and taste. Very good Imperial stout

The aroma was WOW! Sweet, mocha, cream and coffee. The body seemed a little too weak, I was expecting more alcohol, a more stick with you kinda feeling. A very good beer.

Bottle shared by daknole -- thank you, sir! Pours a roasted black color with a trim beige head. Smells and tastes predominalty of coffee. Reminds me a lot of Shorts Cuppa Joe. Great coffee qualities, but not much cream -- much less creme brulee. Finishes with dark fruit. Nice, but doesn’t really resemble the name.

Not sure who wandered up and gave me a pour of this at Woodshop 5.0 but thanks. Pours dark brown with no head. Aroma explodes from the glass: creme brulee (duh), vanilla, semisweet chocolate, cocoa, and brown sugar. Flavor has some licorice, vanilla extract, roasted malt, hazelnuts, vague fruits. Very high carbonation but with some swirling it’s okay. Medium body, too thin to properly support the flavor. Otherwise a very good beer.

Bottle shared by alexsdad06. Poured dark reddish/brown color with an average creamy brown head that was mostly lasting with good lacing. Moderate to heavy toasted coffee and dark sweet chocolate aroma. Medium to full body with a smooth texture and flat carbonation. Medium to heavy dark robust coffee flavor with medium to heavy bittersweet finish of moderate to long duration. Solid complex beer.

Draught. Distinct Nesquick aroma. Black colour. Small brown head. Distinct light chocolate flavour to start with, turning to coffee and back to chocolate again. A different sort of chocolate flavour in beer, but very good.
