This black in color imperial stout’s aro-ma is lead by coffee and dry roasty notes. Crème Brulè coffee is brewed and added post-fermentation. This killer stout is highly sought after at every tasting we take it to.

hoppymeal does it again! Dark brown with a tan head. Aroma is spot on! Coffee, creme brulee, brown sugar, syrup, and chocolate. Flavor hits on the coffee more than anything with a little lactose sweetness and finishes a bit bitter. Fun stuff!!!

On tap at HopCat while in town for RBSG. Pours a jet black with a thin beige head. Awesome coffee, sweet caramelized sugar. Toffee and chocolate. Smooth and silky. Long burnt sugar and chocolate and coffee. Sort of like an iced coffee. Another awesome one from Kuhnhenn.

Tap at Kuhnhenn. Deep black pour with a tight brown head. The nose is intensely sweet with a fairly bright vanillaish component over the top. Intense coffee character along with some toasted toffee through the middle. Bright and sweet with quite a bit of sweet toffee/caramel complexity. Not a whole lot of roast - but there is something that is contributing to a real desserty chewy sweetness. Lingering cocoa.

Dark pour with a thin beige head. Aroma is creamy coffee. Flavor is pretty complex. Vanilla, espresso, caramelized sugar, and toffee. Astringent finish presumably from the coffee

On tap at Kuhnhenn brewery. Black with a light brown head. Smells just like coffee ice cream. Sweet, roasty, creamy, with a dry finish. Medium body, and a little too flat for my liking. Not terribly "imperial", but good nonetheless.

This one poured a medium brown color with a frothy beige head. Aroma was of milk chocolate, cappucino, light vanilla, and dark roasted coffee. Flavor was sweeter chocolate stout upfront, followed by a huge rush of delishious coffee bitterness. One of my favorite coffee stouts.

UPDATED: DEC 25, 2013 On draft at the Kuhnhenn Winter Solstice. The pour is black, with a lighter khaki head and a decent lace. The aroma is very heavy in coffee, with a decent crème brûlée positive note. The bit of roastyness that exists is pretty drown out by the coffee. The flavor is initially very bitter. The caramel mores come through about half way through and it finishes a little dry and slightly strange for an imperial. Overall it’s a good stout, but the aromas led me to believe this would be incredible where the flavors just let it down a bit ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
