joshwilfong (769), Cleveland, Ohio, USA Oct 12, 2009 reddish brown, large white head, nose of citrusy hops. moderate to high carbonation for the style. some moderate hop bitterness followed by a lot of nice hop flavor with mostly citrus, some herbal, and a little spice coming through, some yeasty esters and a little low crystal sweetness before a bone dry finish. a good APA, it could benefit a little by finishing with some more residual sweetness to provide a little more body or by decreasing the carbonation a bit j12601 (1144), Poughkeepsie, New York, USA Sep 5, 2009 On tap at the Blind Tiger at their Kuhnhenn event. Pours a just hazy orange with a thin white head. Citrus and light pine, with a bit of caramel behind it. Little on the thin side of medium a touch empty, good caramel note and a nice bit of hop presence. Finishes with a light grapefruit note. Nicely done. JoeMcPhee (4893), Jackson Heights, New York, USA Sep 4, 2009 Tap at Blind Tiger. Pale orange-golden beer with a thin white head. The nose is quite lovely. Rich and chewy with a nice tropical mango nose. Peachy and fruity with a lot of orange peel as well. Soft light clean malts with a very light bitterness, but it has loads of chewy sweet malts. Really tasty APA. PilsnerPeter (2585), Flushing, New York, USA Sep 3, 2009 Tap at Blind Tiger: Hazy orange with a creamy off white head. Juicy fruity hop aroma- some mango and peach with soft resins and a pale malt caramelization note. Creamy soft body. The flavor has a soft pale malt sweetness that mends nicely with a peachy hop juiciness and only mild resiny bitter finish. A juicy and aromatic pale ale. inkubus27 (237), Highland, Indiana, USA Aug 31, 2009 Not a bad pale ale, mostly malt forward with a little bit of hop presence in the nose and flavor. Overall seemed pretty bland to me, but could make a nice session beer. nbutler11 (727), Phoenix, Arizona, USA Jul 24, 2009 On tap at Crunchy’s for MI Craft Beer Month. Pours a dark straw color with a trim white head. Smells of peppercorns and mild citrus. Nice and malty consistency. Further pepper and citrus in the flavor along with caramel. swoopjones (1862), Buffalo, New York, USA Apr 10, 2009 on tap at Kuhnhenn. light amber. medium hop flavorslight cardboard. Citrus hops. Caramel malts balance nicely. Decent jimmack34 (560), Lancaster, Ohio, USA Mar 15, 2009 Had this on tap at Kuhnhenn Brew Pub. 3-14-09. Poured copper orange with a creamy white head. Lots of lacing. Smelled of very citrusy hops and sweet malt. Tasted of a nice creamy hops, lots of sweet malt, and some piney resin. Lemon, grapefriut, and orange zest highlight the citric notes. Light smooth body and arguements of light drinkability, biterness, and ease of drinkability make this a well rounded beer. Good job. And they promote ratebeer.com on their menu.
