4.1 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
UPDATED: APR 2, 2014 [Tap @ Kuhnhenn / Spring 2013 Batch] Muddled straw color, looks like lighter, murky apple juice. Almost no head, just a thin, white ring around the circumference. Aroma is.... hearts, stars, horseshoes, clovers, blue moons, pots of gold, rainbows, red balloons, etc... No seriously, it smells like Lucky Charms. Good mix of sweet vanilla, marshmallow, & a hint of bready cereal grains from the lager yeast & (likely) pilsner malt. Smells like the leftover milk after you finish your Charms. Taste is full of more smooth marshmallow, hitting you right in the solar plexus with Lucky Charms goodness. Big vanilla notes, too, with an undercurrent of cream soda. A touch of light bread, pilsner malt, & cereal grains close this one out with a hint of astringency from the sharp, lager yeast finish. I love Lucky Charms. I love vanilla. I love cream soda. I love marshmallows. I love easy drinkers. This beer was made for me.
[Tap @ Kuhnhenn / Spring 2014 Batch] Listed as Lucky Charms "Ale" this year... Not sure if it’s actually made with ale yeast, or it was just an error by whomever typed up the menu. Either option is equally as likely as the other. Look was a little hazier than I remember. More vanilla in the aroma/flavor than marshmallow, so there’s more of a cream soda vibe this time around, but the underlying marshmallow peaks through nicely... Along with the sweet vanilla & pale malts, I still get that lovely Lucky Charms kick... Only I’m drinking a cream soda side-by-side this time around. Noticed the mouth feel wasn’t as sharp or crisp in this batch, it was actually a little creamier going down the hatch. Either way, still a kick-ass beer that sits nicely inside of my personal flavor wheelhouse. I’d love my own keg of this shit.

Growler shared by Randall. Yellow pour with a white head. Marshmallow aromas. Big high fructose marshmallow notes. A bit effervescent. Grain under currents. Average body and mouthfeel.

3.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
It is what it is. Nice execution and fun beer, but to sweet to have too much of this stuff. Cloudy orange yellow pour and big aroma of fruity marshmellows... marshmellows from.lucky charms. Drink is vanilla and lucky charms marsh mellow. Sweet. Creamy like. Interesting but some glass was enough.

Smells and tastes exactly like Lucky Charms. Uhhhh. As I said at the time, 0 for concept, 10 for execution. This rating is a hedge.

Growler fill from the brewery. Big smell of those candied colored marshmallows we all love. Almost a hint of cinnamon maybe. Taste is very distinct also with the Lucky Charm flavors. Very refreshing and easy drinking. Even with its sweetness you can still really drink this stuff.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Sample at Kuhnhenn. Pours a cloudy light orange with a very small, bubbly head that fades to a thin ring. Aroma is pretty awesome and very close to Lucky Charms. If I didn’t know this was supposed to smell like Lucky Charms I would probably describe it as vanilla cake frosting. Taste has a great lactose sweetness that mixes perfectly with vanilla frosting and light cereal grain. Smooth mouthfeel and a little creamy too. Really cool, unique beer. I wish I had time to stick around and drink a whole pint.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
This one poured a semi cloudy pale yellow color with a white head. Aroma was very inticing, consisting of milk, light cake frosting, marshmellows, and mild grain. Flavor was spot on too, mainly consisting of light cereal grain and milk in the begining, finishing with a big marshmellow swallow. Not sure how they did this one.
