On draft at the Winter Solstice 2015. The pour is a nice deep ruby with a little hint of orange in it. There is no head, and inherently, no lace. The aroma is sweet cherry syrup. There is a distinct melomel sweetness and then a light tart cherry takes over. The flavor is good. It's a little melomel dominated. I wish there were more cherry in it, but it's good. I like how it's not overly dry, but it's not overly sweet. There is a nice balance, but the mouth feel is a little sweet and sticky. It's thicker than I was expecting. The aftertaste is lightly syrupy and carries a little sweet cherry. Not bad at all ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle shared late-nite at RBWG 2014 - Asheville. Cheers! Pours clear pink with a bubbly white head. The nose holds tart berries and rich honey. Big sweet flavour with light dry honey, berries. Full bodied, soft. Rich finish, with further sugary honey that’s cut pleasantly by berry tartness. Delicious.

This is a darker reddish watered down blood appearance. A lot of legs on this one. Nose is intense bourbon, rye with a lot of vanilla, some smoke and maple syrup. Nose alone makes you realize it’s going to be a huge flavor. I get very faint cherry. Well, this tastes straight up like a Manhattan cocktail. Cherry, bourbon, table sugar, lots of sweet orange peel some tangy notes and the cherry lingers for a while. Obviously not quite as boozy as a Manhattan. the cherry just really tastes amazing. Quite incredible.

14% on label. 500 mL bottle supplied by WillRunForBeer - many thanks! To tumbler, it pours a murky light crimson pink. Aromas of melon rind, vanillin, maraschino cherries, DME, pumpernickel, bourbon oak, straw, honey, and rhubarb. Tastes the same with the addition of cinnamon/cooking spices, melted wax, earthiness/juniper berries, and unripe strawberries. Strangely fruity. Burned but only for a bit. Smooth as hell. After the seventh sip, the alcohol becomes more fluid; its content creeped like a champ. Swishable and lively.
