Bottle. Pours a clear gold with no head whatsoever. Aroma has a lot of strong spice and honey notes that are mainly sweet with a touch of dryness. Flavor starts full of spice that lasts throughout and a honey note that begins sweet and finishes slightly dry.

Pours nice and golden. Aromas are a perfect blend of sweet and spicy. Like those expensive candles that my wife likes to burn. Flavor is a mixed bag of sweet and spicy as well. Wonderful honey like candy sweetness up front then the spice powers through. Waves of cinnamon and clove. Light mint with some almost floral notes. There is a lot going on here when it. Comes to tastes. Body is medium and its smooth. A bit under the weather today but let me say this is what they doctor ordered. Gonna warm the second half of the bottle.

Bottle shared with some friends at a tasting. Pours a pale gold with watery loose bubbles and barely any head, Notes were tons of amazing spice, wood, cinnamon stick, apple, crust, honey, and cloves. So velvety in texture and not boozy at all for 15 percent. Really a great mead that took me by surprise having so many spices in it. Cheers.

Bottle courtesy of Vinny at his January 2013 tasting. Pours a clear golden body with no head or lacing. Aroma is super complex blend of flowers, spice, honey, cinnamon and faint sweet apples. Mouthfeel is medium with a touch of warming alcohol upfront; once subdued you’re greeted with a plethora of floral flavors intertwining in such complexity you’ll be savoring it for as long as possible. Additional notes of cinnamon, spiced apple pie, and honey. Yet another wonderful Kuhnhenn mead.

Glass at the brewery. Big aroma, fresh and consistent with the English varieties. Plain good honey featuring pepper, nutmeg, clove, mace, botonicals and flavourful.
