3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Rated on 7-27-2013. This bottled Mead pours a small head, has a transparent body and a reddish hue. The Aromas are sweet, honey, berries, and alcohol. This Mead’s taste is sweet, honey up front, dry, cherries, and the ABV comes through as well. The Palate is tingly and this is a medium bodied Mead. Overall, this Mead is very quaffable, definitely worthy of a try and I not only would partake in another glass of this Mead, but highly recommend it if one likes Meads. Nice Mead, Kuhnhenn!!

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
This pours a violet hued maroon mead and is still. Very nice sweet berry nose. This is a nice dry mead with lots of berry flavors over a honey sweetness and some oak and chalk. Great berry mead.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
This bottled brew from a rating party poured a head of no head bubbles that were fully diminished and left behind a uncarbonated transparent brown colored body and a oily lacing. The nice aroma was malty and sweet. The mouth feel was weakly tingly at the start and at the finish with a burning sweet aftertaste. The nice flavor contained notes of sweet and honey. A decent one that I would consider drinking again.

4.3 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Red pour, no head. Flavors of red wine, grapes and honey. A real treat that I enjoyed more than some of the other Kuhn meads I have tried. I like the use of the wine.

4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Pour from a tiny bottle that kind of makes me feel like a giant. Ruby port red in color. Nose is mostly wine, red grapes with a hint of honey. Beautiful balance of red wine and honey sweetness. Would like to have this with some nice cheese and would like to have this in a 750 ml bomber!

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle… Pours clear and burnt orange with several, long, meaty, Monica Brant-like legs. The aromatic highlights are honey and Cabernet grapes and skins. Medium-bodied with an oily mouthfeel and zero carbonation. The flavor provides honey up front, then drying, warm methanol. Suggestions of cherry and blackberry fruitiness are noted as well. Sweet, vanilla, lightly acidic, and then dry finish. Bottle courtesy of KickInChalice!

Bottle big thanks to Matt for the bottle! Pour is dark red, aroma brings notes of grape, sweet floral honey, some booze and vanilla, touch of sourness from the grapes. Taste is red grapes, hints of oak, nice sweet honey with some vanilla notes, goes into a dry slightly sweet finish.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
UPDATED: NOV 24, 2012 Bottle, courtesy of bushmat1. You’re a bad ass mofo. Deep reddish orange appearance with no head. Big red grape, caramel, brown sugar, rich honey aroma. Super rich, brown sugar, sweet honey, ripe purple grape flavor. Another fun one to try by Kuhnhenn. Thanks again Matt!
