4.2 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
Bottle: 2012 release, 187ml nip. Plasma green color, not a goddamn bubble in sight. Smells like mint chocolate chip cookie dough with a finish of York peppermint patty. Seriously delicious. Not overly minty or spicy as many other reviewers state. Tastes like a McDonalds Shamrock Shake, only with a mild, underlying cocoa dust aspect. Again, think York, but sweeter with some honey in the periphery. Minty sweet, dessert cookie finish. Not sure why the reviews are generally so shitty, this mead was crazy delicious. One of the best I’ve had from Kuhnhenn, actually.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle shared by a friend. Green pour with no head and minimal legs. Aroma of mint, vanilla and slight chocolate. Minty flavor with a hint of chocolate and vanilla before a thin, dry finish. Not bad, but I was hoping it would be more robust in flavor and sweeter. A little more chocolate would have been nice too.

2.2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20
2013 bottle shared with family on Christmas day. Pours blue-green color, still. Looks exactly like mouthwash. Kinda smells like mouthwash too. Very minty aroma with just a hint of chocolate. Taste is the same. So much mint that it even seems to cover up the honey taste. I could barely drink it. A couple family members surprisingly liked it though.

2.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20
Scope blue/green pour. And it smells and tastes like scope. I couldn’t finish my glass. Weird and overly minty.

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle from Rayl101! Pours like scope and has an aroma similar to it. Taste is minty with little chocolate. An unusual fail from the team at Kuhnhenn.

2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Green scope pour, no head. There is mint and faint chocolate. But this is a scope mess. An uncommon weak mead for this brewery.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
2012 bottle. This Mead pours a clear green color that reminds me of Haas Easter egg coloring. Decent legs on the glass. Minty aroma with touches of chocolate. Full-bodied with flavors of mint and chocolate plus honey in the background. The finish is earthy mint in subtle chocolate. Overall pretty good but didn’t quite achieve the Andes mint flavor for which I was secretly hoping.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle from BenC...thanks Ben! - Pours clear pale green with no head. Nose is mint chocolate chip ice cream with some almond extract. Yep, this is truth in advertising. Taste is about the same, with lots of mint and a touch of chocolate. Menthol on the finish. Thin and slick. Good stuff!

3.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
UPDATED: OCT 22, 2012 6.3 oz. bottle, sent from northernbrews (thanks a lot, Jeff), pours a crystal clear lime cordial green with no head, not even a few bubbles. Nose reminds me of absinthe at first, quite boozy, with notes of both mint and chocolate chips, and a bit of honey is with all meads. Flavour brings out the mint on top of the chocolate chips, melding together quite cohesively, with the honey holding it together. I’m not usually a fan of the mint chocolate combination, but this mead succeeds with it. Booze is hidden very well, leaving only a slight burn. Decent stuff.

4.7 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 19/20
Bottle courtesy of my man Ned, thanks dude. Shared w/ Joe and Allen before the Bob Mould show. Pours a melted, clearish bright green water ice color, no head or lace. Aromas of mint, pistachio gelato, almonds, and very light cocoa. Taste is mint chocolate chip ice cream, the green kind not the gross white crap. Holy hell, can’t believe the chocolate is actually coming through on top of the strong layers of spearmint, amaretto, junior mints and sugar . Literally no alcohol is present in this one. Smooth and medium to full bodied while being so drinkable and delicate at the same time. This one was number one on my want list of meads from kuhnhenn due to my love of mint chocolate chip ice cream, all I can say is this one did not disappoint. Another awesome Willy Wonka style creation from Kuhnhenn.
