Jfishback13 (271), Royal Oak, Michigan, USA Jan 13, 2004 Maybe I became spoiled by other Oatmeal stouts like Smith's, but this stout was quite vinegary and unfortunately not enjoyable at all.

ogglethorp (785), Ohio, USA Jan 12, 2007 Tap. Pours a really dark brown color, thick creamy tan colored head. Aroma is coffee, roasted malt. Flavor is coffee, roasted malt, chocolate, some sour/tart note which I didn’t appreciate. Palate is medium, too thin for my liking, mildly carbonated, bittersweet finish. Nothing spectacular. Ibrew2or3 (1705), Safety Harbor, Florida, USA Jan 1, 2007 On draft (nitrogen) at brewery. Poured black with creamy tan head. Adequate Oatmeal Stout type aroma with dry almost chalky tart oatmeal. Almost no sweetness in the aroma. Nice light bodied mouth feel with burnt-roasted malts, hints of oatmeal, some tartness and coffee. CaptainCougar (4637), Rockville, Maryland, USA Jul 14, 2006 On tap at the brewpub on 4/27/06: Pours an opaque black with dark brown edges and a lightly-lacing thin tan head. Lightly roasted earthy milk chocolate aroma. Starts semi-sweet and dark chocolatey with a touch of bittering hops. Finishes roasty and lingering. A nice sweet stout.
