3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Tap @ Kuhnhenn: Dusky, muddled straw body with a foamy white head that quickly scurries to a chunky collar outlining the glass. Aroma is full of vibrant orange juice with some lighter undertones of Belgian yeast spices, bubblegum, & of course, wheat. Tastes like a mimosa made with a witbier instead of champagne. Orange juice mixed with a wheat beer, 50/50, no kidding. You get lots of tart orange juice up front, citrusy that turns into a mellow sweetness as the witbier characteristics take over from mid-palate onward... Bready yeast, blanketed wheat, grains, bubblegum, a hint of spices (maybe clove or coriander?). A little bit of tangy orange lingers throughout with just a slight hint of chalkiness left over in the aftertaste. All in all, a nice "breakfast-y" take on a witbier, only the mild chalk in the finish throwing me off.

Nice change of pace from the cereal brews. Hazy light orange pour white head. Orange juice and wheat aroma. Taste is almost all orange juice with some wheat and hint of chalk. Light body light carbonation. Nice.
