3.3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle shared wth some brahs, pours clearish brown, with light head and lace. Notes are cherry funk, perfume, and light nail polish. Maybe cranberry as it warms. Overall, too syrupy and acidic barny.

Bottle labeled Cherry Oud Bruine Ale from Kuhnhenn. Poured deep reb brown thin super thin creme head. Aroma of brett sour cherry. Light fine carb med bod. Not overpowering sourness but the kick of cherry is nice.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
2013 bottle at 12.75% ABV.
Aroma is very fruity with quite a bit of sweet cherry character. Not much malt character underneath, but hints of toasted bread. I was expecting more Brett character, but it really only has a bit of cherry pie and a very faint barnyard character.
Pours an amber brown with a thin tan head that quickly recedes the edges where it disappears. No lacing but medium sized legs.
Flavor has a fairly strong sweetness with a big cherry juice flavor. Some light malt character with toasted bread and caramel with just a faint hint of chocolate. Only faint acidity. Lots of cherry pie notes but not much else. Pretty much only a very faint barnyard note, and a hint of alcohol but it is otherwise all hidden by cherry juice.
Mouthfeel is medium full bodied with medium low carbonation. Low astringency and medium low alcohol warmth.
Overall an interesting take on an oude bruin, but a lot of cherry juice that kind of overwhelms the rest of the beer. I think some age may help add some carbonation and add complexity to the otherwise fairly one dimensional beer. The alcohol is really well hidden though.

4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Thanks to HisBoyElroy. A deep cherry aroma with some other citrus fruit skins. Very nice flavor. Seriously dangerous drinkability while being 12.75% and that easy drinking. Very great stuff.

This is such a good beer. Have had it in on tap and bottle. One of their better offerings.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle from Winter Solstice 2013. Pours a deep rose with an amber hue. Little to no head, minimal lacing. Aromas of tart cherries, earth and alcohol. Tastes sweet upfront, hints of a caramel sweetness....sweet cherry...slight funk...medium to full mouthfeel. Finishes moderately tart, with a bit of lingering spice on the tail end. Very weird. Very much a Kunhenn beer. I enjoy it very much!

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
From the 12/2013 3R6P gathering +++ Sampled from a 12 oz brown bottle this beer poured an red-orange-brown color with a small foamy off white head that faded quickly and left no lacing. The aroma was tart and sour with notes of barbecue sauce, honey, peach, ketchup and cherry pie. The flavor was tart ketchup, barbecue, honey, beef and cherry pie. Long tart finish of ketchup, barbecue, honey and beef. Medium body. Very weird.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Tap at 2013 Winter Solstice. Labeled as Cherry Oude Bruin. Pours a dark reddish-brown with a small foamy head that fades slowly and leaves some nice lacing. Aromas has a fairly strong brett/barnyard smell with an underlying sour cherry, plum, caramel, and oak. Tastes better than the aroma. Slightly sour cherries, plums and caramel mostly. Slightly sweet. Finishes with a subtle barnyard and oak taste that mixes well with the caramel cherries. Drinks easier than the abv suggests. Definitely an interesting sour brown.

Starts out a bit funky. As you go tons of sour cherries really enjoy the fruit-forwardness.

4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
On tap at the Kuhnhenn Winter Solstice party. The pour is a light brown with a lot of reddish or ruby characteristics. The head is white, decently thick, leaving decent lace. The aroma is quite a bit more sour than I had anticipated, with a beautifully overwhelming cherry note. The flavor isn't as tart or sour as is expect or prefer, but the cherry is definitely there. The mouth feel is quite thin, and the cherry flavor lingers an obscene amount of time, which I love
