Aroma: Sweet cherry, milk chocolate, caramel, balsamic.
Taste: Sweet black cherry, cola, tannins, cough syrup. Finishes slightly tart.
Mouthfeel: Thick with very low carbonation.
Overall: My first Kuhnhenn experience. Very tasty, and very unique. I’m sure this would age fine for a long time.

12 ounce bottle. Poured deep brown without head. The cherries where off putting, far to sweet for me. Sweet malts, no hops, lots of syrupy sweetness. If this beer had a solid tartness that would help.

Big thanks to a true gentleman Mr. AlexanderK for bringing this one over.
The beer pours a reddish orange color with a small head and some lacing on the glass.
The aroma is just a lot of cherries, some earthiness, some raspberry jam, but overall it’s just a lot of fruit, primarily cherries. It does have a bit of that "fake cherry" character, but not in a cloying or medicinal way. Boy this is a pungent fruity smelling beer.
The flavor is again, cherries and more cherries, sweet but not cloying, pleasantly sour, not terribly acidic and lightly earthy. Oh and it has a lot of cherry flavor too.
There is nothing about this beer that drinks like a 10.5% beer (which is how the 2011 bottle we drank was marked) The alcohol is very well masked.
Wow! it is sour... I can say that the Sour/Wild designation is not out of place, but holy cow with as much cherry character is in this it could easily fall under "Fruit Beer" as well. I sure wouldn’t mind having a few of these for downstairs as I am sure that it would be the perfect beer if the mood struck me just right.

Bottle at Andy's. I really don't know how I feel about this beer. Tons tons of cherry. I can't help but think cough drops/syrup, but apparently that's the way the cherries. Sweet, but not overly so. Crazy.

Pours a still chocolate brown with no head. Aroma of caramel and cherry juice. Taste follows with a moderate tartness. Alcohol is present which isn't a surprise given this is 10.5. Very tasty, great beer

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 Huhzubendah (1980) - Washington DC, USA - JUL 6, 2012
This beer appears a light brown hue with a tiny head that leaves no lacing. Aromas of cherries and alcohol are the dominating scents. The beer tastes very good, with a decent balance of tartness to sweetness. The cherry flavors, which are very forward, and the high abv make this beer too sweet for me to indulge in more than one serving. Perhaps a couple of years in the cellar would enhance the drinkability factor. Overall, this was a good beer, and one I would have again.

3rd July 2010 Very dark brown beer. Short lived tan head. Sourish nose, some cherry, some wood. Smooth palate. Rich deep cherry, sweet and sour and tart at the same time. Finishes slightly malty but cherry totally dominates here. Nice fruity sour.
