4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
375 ml bottle shared by drewbeerme. Thanks, dude. Pours a a rich ruby red hue, no haze, transparent deep glowing reddish ruby berry hue. A gentle head dies to a loose ring, no lacing. Aromas are deep raspberry fruit and skin, deep fruit influence, a kiss of honey sweetness. Deep crimson berry, raspberry. Initial is deep raspberry fruit, seedy, and skin tannins. Itís not sweet, but a deep fruit presence, more influencial than the cherry. Thinned more, but really seedy and fruit. The brett element, touches of honey, gentle lemon, florals, grass. Middle shows seedy fruit, lots of raspberry tannins, gentle alcohol heat grows, bretty dryness latches on. Less sweet and complex, more raspberry dominant than the cherry version. Backend shows fruit skin and brett, kiss of heat, richer raspberry juice, a bit seedy, pulpy elements are strong. Finish is rich raspberry, pulpy, fun. I liked this a bit more than cherry for the assertive and less sweet essence of raspberries in general. Fun mead!

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle shared by Drew. Thanks! Pours a deep reddish with a purple hint, thin fizz. Nose is big and juicy raspberry with a sticky honey note following it up. Clean, not much funk to itís nose. On tasting, doesnít quite have the structure of the cherry version. Firm raspberry tannin dominates, drying finish. Floral honey overall. Solid but a step down.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
375ml bottle. Thanks to drew for sharing this guy once again... Pours a mostly clear berry red consistency, still, not too leggy, very little head... Aroma of honey forward with red fruit and not as boisterous as the cherry seemed to be but moreso mead like with nice red fruit component. Lighter bodied with a semi-dried finish. Solid. Hard to go back and forth between this and chery with the former for mor elf that fruit focus and the. This with a fruit honey amalgamation.

Pours a deep red hue. Aromas of raspberry, honey, and live waxy hive. Flavor is very much berry. Lightly sweet up front which is quickly overtaken by tart. Earthy, musty, and Bretty. No alcohol at all. Just tart fruity goodness in a glass. Loved both of the Funkadelish meads I have had so far.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Thanks to PaulUnwin for sharing this one. Cheers, Paul! Pours a still cherry red color. Nose is some raspberry flesh with hints of funk and a bit of earthy honey. Flavor follows the nose. Light to medium in body and nowhere near the alcohol presence I expected.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Pours a crystal clear red color with just a tiny smattering of bubbles. Intense raspberry aroma with a strong oak and vanilla character. Lightly Bretty with some earthy tones. Somewhat boozy, as you might expect, and very sweet. The flavor is quite sweet with tons of vanilla, sugar, and raspberry. Lightly earthy and musty with a heavy oak flavor and a touch of Brett. A warming finish of alcohol and just a touch of honey.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle. Poured reddish cranberry juice color, no head, with a syrupy lacing like a leggy red wine. A raspberry nose and taste. Fairly tart for a mead, with notes of honey. Very tasty mead.

4.3 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Bottle, pours a cranberry red color, slightly clearish. No head or lacing. The most sour mead I have tried to date due to the Brett and ultra tart raspberry. Tons of berries, honey, sour dark fruit, sugary notes. Taste had velvety grapes and liight saison yeast. 17percent booze wasnt detectable at all...scary meh. One of my favorites of the night.
