Bottle shared by ryan. Pours hazy amber with tiny floaties. Medium sized creamy tan head. Aroma of big spicy notes including nutmeg, citrus peel and spruce along with bread and caramel notes. The taste is spice, caramel, bread, chocolate, candi sugar and cinnamon. Medium-full bodied. Just a tad bit overspiced but still a good beer.

very dark nut brown, thin cream head, small Bubbled, lasting. Nose clashes with cinnamon and sage, light chocolate and light pepper. Flavor is light rye, chocolate, plum, bit of paper through end. Sticky, soft body.

Brown sugar and molasses, raisin, booze, and slightly oxidized sugary dough, sporting a medium to full sugary palate and a syrupy finish. Pretty yummy.

750mL thanks to ryan. Pour is a clear, deeper amber with a small yellowish head. Looks deep mahogany. Nose is intense lemon and lime with fresh flowers. Taste is sweeter with powerful lemon/lime character. Not sure what it up here but not a big fan. As it warms it gains some sweeter malt character but still lemon/lime centric. Decent.

Bottle shared by ryan. Pours clear brown with a medium, fizzy light tan head, medium retention with light lacing. Aroma is floral and citrus malt, medium fruity esters, tropical fruits, light caramel and toast malt, light farmhouse yeast notes. Flavor is vinous and fruity esters, light spicy alcohol, dates, caramel and toast malt, light alcohol, some sour notes with a dry finish. Full body, medium warmth and carbonation.

750mL bottle, June 2007 bottling. Poured deeper garnet with a short, tight-bubbled beige head. The aroma picked up pineapples and black pepper-laden fruit upfront, with darker fruit and a hint of honey beneath.. some subtle oxidation worked fairly well.. a little banana as it warmed up.. came across sweet, but it was very enjoyable. The flavor was very sweet, with dark fruits, bananas, and a touch of bready character leading.. lots of yeast around, with peppery notes and nice dusty stuff.. finished with a lot of sugars, but in a very good way.. tasty and well-balanced. Medium-plus bodied and fairly sweet on the palate, but the yeast worked wonders.. excellent stuff!

Bottle shared by Sean, thanks! Poured a cloudy brown with a grayish brown head that dissipated to the edges. Aroma was full of butterscotch with a sweet grain and slight underlying herb and spice note. Flavor was similar with sweet grains, butterscotch and toffee with a bit of an alcohol burn.

On tap @ Kuhnhenn. Poured a murky red-brown color with a sparse whitish head. Nice rich aroma with a candied fruit sweetness and Belgian yeast. Taste rich as well but pretty straightforward. Heavy malt sweetness with some fruit and a yeasty twinge at the end.

Enjoyed the 3-year aged version at the brewpub. Great aroma. Strong, with meady smooth characteristic. Ruby red with lots of lace Some sourness making it a sipper. Above averag mouthfeel.

Cask-conditioned 3-year Prometheus, at Kuhnhenn’s 10th anniversary party. Aroma of light floral hops, with lots of fruit: grape, plum, and apple. Also had an odd perfumey aroma that I can’t quite place. Smelled really good, though! Taste of yeast, sweet malts, candi sugar. Mouthfeel medium with dry finish. Really great beer!
