Commercial Description:
Real raspberries abound in this chocolate caramel after dinner treat. Aged for a smooth texture and drinkability. This lager beer will handle additional age very well.

Red brown with a tiny tan head. Sweet raspberry, malt, vineous aroma. Sweet with alcohol in the flavour, a dessert wine like raspberry flavour, but it all ends very well balanced despite the excessive alcohol.

2007 vintage (Thanks HailSquishFace). Pours a cloudy medium brown color with some reddish notes. Pretty much no head at all. Aroma is subdued raspberries, some bittersweet chocolate, malty notes and a little vanilla. Flavor is somewhat sour, with a fair bit of the malts, some mellow raspberry and some wood notes. Certainly a unique brew that I was very glad to get to try.

’07 bottle. Dark brown pour with red hue and a faint beige head. Aroma is raspberries but not sour smelling, caramel, some woody notes, vanilla, very hard to describe. Flavor is much the same big smooth caramel, raspberries in the background it definitely isn’t a fruit beer, vanilla, a touch of oak. What a freakin hard beer to describe it’s so complex. The ’04 I had aged wonderfully and was a 5, I can’t wait to see what these do. Let this age!

18.5 cL bottle, trade with ygtbsm94. Pours clear and golden dark orange to amber with a quickly gone tan head. Dark malty and mild raspberry aroma. Flavour is mild caramel malty with a delicate and dry raspberry flavour on top. Shows a dry and almost woody raspberry flavour before the finish. Dry almost woody finish. Sugarish finish with a light raspberry note. Complex brew yet I don’t see this a top 50 beer.

Bottle at Toms Glasgow tasting 2 ... 2007 bottle ... Deep red ... sweet woody toffee and vanilla nose... Its ICE CREAM ... with a little raspberry in its linger ... Alcohol is a bit too prevelant ... Its huge huge vanilla... quite thick and viscos... wondefull mouth feel... 4.3Tk2 ... Deep red brown ... very sweet valilla and rasperberry nose ... again lots of vanilla and raspberry in flavour ... low carbonation ... very syrupy.4.1

From bottle - 2007 : Pours a dark black color with a thin off white head that dies to a foamy ring right away. Decent carbonation. Nose is very impressive. Chocolate, caramel, raspberry...kinda like a raspberry cheesecake, very yummy. The first impression is that it is very smooth and creamy. Chocolate comes out first, with some cheesecake flavors. And very natural raspberry flavors come through in the second half. Medium mouthfeel, and is very smooth and creamy. Aftertaste is a little alcohol, and its the only alcohol that i get, it is hidden very well in the taste. It is a very nice beer, worthy of its praise.

Thanks so much to footbalm for sharing this beer. It pours a deep ruby with a thin white head. The aroma is simply amazing; strong berry aspect with with some sweet chocolates and vanilla. The taste is also dominated by a raspberry flavor that is completely natural. Also, a bunch of chocolate, vanilla, and perhaps some wood. A strong alcohol presence. Very good, and quite complex. Will not dissapoint.

Shared with secretstash. Poured brown with a bubbly head. Lots of chocolate and some raspberry in the aroma. Beautiful aroma. Mostly raspberry flavor with some warming chocolate in the finish.
