Jan 3, 2008 2007, 187ml bottle, with a big THANK YOU to Yaniv (yjb)! Pours a cloudy brown with a thin tan covering that quickly dissipates to a thin ring then disappears completely, no lacing. Aroma is stunning, with spot on chocolate covered raspberries and some creamy caramel - absolutely decadent! Flavor is a more of the same, with a nice lingering chocolate raspberry that remains for a loooong time. This is a slow sipper, an absolute pleasure, and an experience I don’t want to end! Thanks again Yaniv!

Det er godt nok ikke meget, når den skal deles i 4. Men tak til Bageren for at medbringe. farven et sted mellem kaffe og cola, semi klar med et lille beige skum Dufter at hindbær marmelade, mørk choko, karameller. Sådan smager den også, plus valnødder og lakrids og en anelse støvet.
Ikke voldsom alkoholisk, lidt syrlig bid med lav kulsyre. En lækker lille sag jeg sagtens kunne drikke mere af. Så kom bare med den...........

Jan 2, 2008 This is probably the best beer I’ve had so far. I like chocolate, I like raspberries- this has both and does it well. I took a point off for the palate but thats just to be consistent- I give most things a 4 for the palate unless they really stand out, but it was smooth. This beer just makes me happy and I dont know what more I could ask for. Thanks yjb for this one. A nice beer from a nice guy.

Dec 30, 2007 6oz bottle 2007. Aroma is chocolate and raspberries with a little pipe tobacco smoke. Deep rose amber hue with a small disappearing beige head that left no lace. Flavor is raspberries, chocolate, spice, and pipe tobacco. Very full bodied and sticky sweet. Just a fantastic experience! From winter solstice quest to savoring the last drop, it has been worth all the effort!

Dec 27, 2007 Bottle at home (Thanks Bager) - 24. Dec. - shared with Bager, Per & Mette. Cloudy dark red/brown - light brown head. Chokolate, raspberries, nutty, vanilla, light light wood, marmelade, high sweetness - but not too much, light sourish. High-power-beer !!!!

Dec 25, 2007 2004 vintage. This one was simply decadent. Aroma was of wine and raspberries. The taste was like a luscious, moist chocolate cake intermingled with mellow raspberries and hints of caramel and almond. Truly a dessert beer. Interestingly, the raspberries seemed to be quite mellow, which is what really set this apart from some other fruits I’ve had. They played a secondary, yet no less succulent role. The beer finishes slightly tart with a bitey-wine feel to it. Alcohol warms greatly as it goes down. I enjoyed every sip of this masterpiece.

Dec 25, 2007 (250ml bottle) Sampled at Oakes 2007 Christmas party. Thanks Tigg! Dissipated white head with a deep brown body. Nose of full vanilla. Tart raspberry, sour cherry chocolate and danish pastry glaze. I think this bottle was past its finest days...

Dec 24, 2007 Updated: Dec 28, 2007ho ho ho! the end of Christmas this beer joined apple pies and ice cream as my dessert. the elves must have been hard at work crafting this smooth chocolate raspberry caramel nectar of the gods.. ended a great night which went down like this: 1) Fuego del Otono 2) Calabaza Blanca, 3) Mad elf, (first off you suck, 2nd you ruined MI christmas) 4) 4th dementia 5) breakfast stout, 6) st oat, 7) KR to the E homeboy. you took the cake shoved it back inside you and begged me to take another sip.
