4.4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 19/20
Poured at brewery. Dark maroon color. Smells of berry, caramel and chocolate. Taste delivers on the smell. A bit bitter in the mouth and some boozyness. Great finish. Top notch.

4.7 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 19/20
The only downside to this brew is the price. At 15 bucks for a 6 ounce glass, your wallet will hate you, but your mouth will love you.

4.2 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
On tap @ Copenhagen Beer Celebration 2013. A big treat! The aroma? Oh, then aroma! If heaven has a smell, I might just think it could be something like this. So sweet and raspberry infused that it’s hard to find enough of them superlatives. Cherries and raspberries in a amazing harmony. It just smells as good as a beer can smell. It’s really warming in their throat with both sweet and slightly acidic raspberries. In a way it can remind a bit of a sourned mead added enormous amount of raspberries. A flavor bomb of the highest class there is. The warming sensation is just lingering in the throat forever. Pure class! 03.05.2013

On tap @ Beer Temple. Clear, deep red color. Thin head, soapy, pink-ish. Aroma’s: raspberries, cassis, syrup. Very syruppy and sweet retronasal. Flavor is sweet with a fruity sourness. Alcohol feel is quite strong, warming. Body is quite full, syruppy. Flavors linger, but no new flavor. Very sweet, but quite nice.

4.2 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
2007 Vintage. Pours a ruby brown color with no visible bubbles. The nose is complex and inviting with ripe raspberry notes, port wine, cocoa, wet wood and even a touch of toffee. The palate follows the nose with a nice balance between sweet raspberry fruit and deep chocolate earthiness. Really smooth and silky on the mouthfeel with great flavor profiles from front to back.

4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20
[187ml bottle, courtesy of cgarvieuk][2007 vintage] Tiny, old bottle of what looks like high-school homebrew. Turns out to be this jewel, long forgotten. Opaque, headless, rimless. Strong, sweet, oaked fruit on the nose. Big Black Forest Gateaux flavour. Chocolate and raspberry. Hugely drinkable, albeit in such a small bottle. Wondrous

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Bottle from Mike, thanks! Pours a brownish red with no carbonation. Aroma is a raspberry punch to the face with slight chocolate/roast notes. Bittersweet baking chocolate. Taste is raspberry forward with more desert wine and chocolate notes. At first there is a harsh heat down your throat but quickly goes away as the beer warms. A nice sipping beer but not exactly the right beer for a hot afternoon.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Pours a ruby/plum color with a finger of tan head. Aroma has nice raspberry nites and a choclate/tootsie roll note. Flavor is just like a choclate covered raspberry...more fruit than chocolate. Mouthfeel is medium/full and slick with a roasty chocolate finish that hints at raspberry...warms nicely. Very tasty dessert beer and hides the ABV nicely.
