Commercial Description:
Real raspberries abound in this chocolate caramel after dinner treat. Aged for a smooth texture and drinkability. This lager beer will handle additional age very well.

6.3oz 2007 bottle served in a small snifter. A - Pours a rich caramel with reddish hue. I think I see a few small bubbles of carbonation, but didn’t expect any given the abv. S - Fresh tart raspberries dipped in caramel chocolate. I could smell this all night long. T - Big malty raspberries, chocolate, caramel, and cherries. I thought it would be sweeter in the sugar sense, but it’s just massively malty sweet. M/D - The amount of carbonation is perfect for this beer. It just slightly bubbles over your tongue, but leaves your mouth lingering with the malty syrup. Drinkablity is great, and the bottle size is absolutely perfect. I need to find at least one more bottle of this to see what its like at 3+ years...

2007 187 ml bottle. Rich chocolate and raspberry on the nose, alcohol notes as well. Pours a muddy brown with no carbonation. Rich decadent caramel with hints of chocolate and raspberries with some cherry notes as well. Very nice!

Long overdue rating here. Can’t tell you how many times I have had this without rating it. 2oz sample at brewery. Pours a deep brown with reddish hue to it, thin tan head, no lacing. Aroma very pleasant of roasted malt, tart raspberries, chocolate, dried fruits, and a bit of wine. Flavor matches well and all of it comes together so nicely. This is a sipper to be enjoyed slowly, just all around wonderful brew.

Bottle. Pours a deep red. I was probably a little too in the bag to enjoy this when i opened it, but awesome none the less. Nose is loads of alcohol, chocolate, ripe fruit, sweet raspberry and malt. Flavor is AMAZING! Tons of cocoa, ripe and sour fruit, fig, plum, booze, and sherry notes. Absolutely amazing! I need more.

2007 edition shared with LJ for rating #250!. pours a very pretty reddish gold with a thin, off white head. aroma was oustanding with huge tart raspberries, caramel, cinnamon, and hints of tart cherry and dark chocolate. flavor was wonderfully rich with a perfect balance of tart raspberry, sweet toffee, and slightly bitter chocolate with a hint of red wine and warming alcohol. palate was slightly sticky yet elegant with mild carbonation and a lingering, tart berry finish. overall, a great brew.

Big thanks to spacecoyote for that botte from 2007. Looks great, the beer in the glass also. Old-malty aroma, nice raspberry notes. Tastes strong, quite malty and dry. The fruity notes come back in the aftertaste. Nicely fruity-prickly on the tongue, very well balanced. A very enjoyable beer!

I raise a glass to my cousin and thank him for opening this little gem! Pretty much all the Top 100 stuff I have tried is thanks to him. KRE comes in a cute little 6.3 ounce bottle. Tangy raspberry and fruit aroma. Reddish brown pour. What an amazing flavor. It is hard to find the words for it. KRE is very complex and dances around the inside of the mouth. Sour, fruity flavors mix with sweetness, astringency, and earthy notes. Very complex and wonderfully enjoyable, with a kind raspberry finish. This is the upper limit of fruit beers, maybe all beers. I can’t say enough about it, and I can’t say much else other than "How can I get some more?" Great.

Little bias since I went to school with the owner. It’s an amazing beer. Great pour, Body is robust, exposive favors with a nice sweed aroma. It’s always a treat to go home to his brewery.
