4.7 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 19/20
Big thanks owed to Normyk for this long time want. What a special little beer to just give away, essentially.
Split with Ryan011235. Poured into two taster mini snifters.
A- This little bottle is quite the spectacle. Little mini 6.3 fl oz clear bottle, dipped in a burgundy wax that matches the beer inside. The tiny presentation is an interesting contradiction to the huge beer that’s inside. The bottle looked like it was going to turn out flat, but thankfully I am presented with a very small head. It fades down to a collar before disappearing completely. The thick, concentrated beer leaves a solid coating on the side of the glass. The color is a lovely, deep sanguine red.
S- This aroma is in your face raspberry puree. Its very juicy and fresh. It calls forth images of raspberry preserves or a slice of raspberry pie. Although raspberries are the main characteristic here, it is possible to pick out a slight notion of the malts below. I can pick out a slight bit of rich chocolate. This is undoubtedly the most raspberry-strong aroma out there.
T- As expected, raspberry preserves are right in your face. It starts sweet and juicy but moves into a more leafy, wild raspberry flavor. There is a suggestion of tartness with a some bitterness at the finish. A little bit of rich chocolate is blended with the raspberries. Naturally, alcohol doesnt let itself be forgotten but it doesnt crash the party either. Its big and spicy but not bigger than those delicious raspberries.
M- Carbonation starts out kinda prickly. It does die down, especially with all the swirling Ive been doing. Once the carbonation has subsided a bit the sheer thickness of this beer can be fully appreciated. Its very syrupy and chewy. The juicy raspberries cling to every surface of the palate.
D- Nursing my little pour is a test. I would have easily been able to drink more than this whole bottle.

2012 bottle at home. Clear, reddish brown. Awesome boozy raspberry aroma. Same raspberry taste. Sweet. Kind of feels like a boozed up New Glarus fruit beer. Great!

Bottle from blacknyellow (BA), thanks man. Dark ruby red semi transparent. Completly flat no carbonation. Aroma is raspberry puree and tootsie roll chocolate. Taste is chocolate raspberry and quite a bit of booze, although doesnt taste anywhere near as strong as 15.5%. More like 10%. Good stuff for sure but not for the price.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Draught @ Mikkeller & Friends. Pours unclear red with a minimal off-white head. Aroma is raspberries, booze, toasted malt, chocolate notes and toffee. Taste is intense, cloyingly sweet, near moderate bitter and light tart. Body is full, texture is thick and sticky, carbonation is soft. Finishes very sweet, boozy and burning with lingering raspberries and malt.

Hallontårta, choklad och maltig.
Mäktig kropp tydliga hallon. Spritig mot slutet men inte så det stör
Varm, tung och riktigt fin. Söt. Hemma hos Micke som hjälpte till att fixa denna trade. (Thanks biggsbowler!)

Tap at Blind Tiger’s VSK night although been popping up all over city as of late. Pours bloody chocolate color. Nose is thick raspberry syrup and dark chocolate. If you have ever had a Godiva raspberry chocolate bar this tastes exactly like this blended up and mixed with cherry cough syrup and grain alcohol but all in a nice way. Its a bit too sweet and thick on palate for me but overall very tasty

4.1 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
Bottle from T25 trade. Aroma and flavor is medicinal raspberry with limited sweetness and a caramel/cocoa aspect. Drink this with a big chocolate cake, and imagine you've mixed it with Purple Drank. It's great.

Shared bottle with Timfoolery and others. Very strong aroma of raspberry. Tastes of raspberry with hints of chocolate. We paired it with chocolate birthday cake. It cake takes away the medicinal characteristics from the beer.
