bu11zeye (11940) - Frisco (Dallas), Texas, USA - JUN 11, 2012
(187ml bottle, 2009 vintage) Pours a clear yellow body with nice legs. Aroma of pine, Scratch n’ Sniff Cut Grass stickers from grade school, light peppermint, and honey. Flavor of pine, grass, honey, and clove. Never, thought I would be thinking to myself that I am kind of enjoying Santa’s Sack…

MeadMe (1300) - Riverview, Florida, USA - NOV 3, 2011
Pours a nice deep shade of yellow. Aromas of Christmas potpourri my mom used to boil in a pot. Honey and berries. Spruce and spices very nice. Bold sweetness up front. A big blast of clove, cinnamon, and all spice. Hints of juniper and light mint. A bitter pine in the finish like you chewed some pine needles. Unique and very bold.

Thanks to blutt59 and thirdeye11 for going in with me on 16 Kuhnhenn meads. This was part of an epic 20 mead tasting. Pours a light yellow color. The aroma is full of spruce, pine and cinnamon. Very inviting. The flavor is more of the same. I get a lot of spruce and honey as well as some cinnamon and vanilla. Medium carbonation. Drinking this reminds of me Christmas. Well done.

Pours a golden liquid that is still. Smells like Christmas spices. Cinamon and others. some sweetness and a bit of alcohol. Taste is sweet spice blend that isn’t overbearing. overall sweet with an alcohol finish. smooth feel alochol isn’t too rough. overall the spice profile is just right for me.

Glass at Kuhnhenn. Clear yellow in color with no carbonation and some legs. Aroma of basil, sage and other herbs along with honey. Basil and sage flavor with some honey sweetness before an herbal finish.

bottle dated 2009... pours a light straw, ugly... the nose is very strong, amaretto with cinnamon and honey, its spicy but to so much that it’s distracting... tastes like a Christmas mead, but more restrained, hot with cinnamon and a bit of an alcohol burn... if you like cinnamon try, but not for me
