7 ounce bottle thanks to unclerudy. Thanks man! Pours a pale, still yellow. The aroma has huge almond and maraschino cherry character. Taste is more sweet maraschino. The taste is a little phenolic to start, but as it warms, the Mead really opens up and becomes a treat. Very good.

Bottle at the Colorado Mead Tasting ’12. Pour is golden yellow with no head and great legs. Big sweet vanilla aroma, almond syrup, amaretto cherries, Dr. Pepper, light wood, and fruit. Taste is sweet cherries, light vanilla, wood, nutty, and oak with a light alcoholic burn on the finish. Syrupy with feel with light carbonation. Pretty tasty stuff, and realy easy-to-drink.

Pour out of 8 oz bottle, thanks to Stephen! Aroma brought notes of sugary almond, vanilla, hints of honey, hints of sugar, wow! Taste is nice and dry, nice vanilla, sweet almond notes, hints of earth, finishing with some nice honey notes. Tasty stuff.

Colorado mead tasting 2012 - smells like amaretto syrup, vanilla and white grapes - flavor is actually a little tart up front - the almond is not nearly as strong - honey is much more present - a strong alcohol warmth - the tail end actually tastes like a medium sweet white wine, like a Riesling - tastes much better than it smells.

2012 Colorado Mead Tasting at Armin’s house. Thanks Stephen! Pours a light yellow appearance. Dr. Pepper, almond, vanilla bean, white grape aroma. Somewhat spicy, vanilla bean, almond, light berry, sweet honey flavor.

Bottle - pours yellow, lots of almond and toffee in the nose - more almonds, sugar, vanilla, nuttiness - full bodied - this has booze in it, not nearly as smooth as previous bottles of this or most of their meads. Still good

Bottle compliments of Allen shared at Evans for his Birthday, Pour is clearish gingerale with no head or lacing. Overall, this is pure liquid form of an Italian pignoli cookie. So much almond, cherry skin, and suagr. Other notes of wildflower honey, vanilla, wood, macadamia, and cinnamon sugar. What a rich and luxurious tasting mead, perfect amount of michigan cherry tartness lingers on the sides of the tongue. Medium to full bodied with a silky mouthfeel. Barely any booze present. In my top 3 of meads I have tried from Kuhnhenn.

6 ounce bottle split 3 ways at gillard’s place, poured a nice golden straw yellow color, aromas of almond extract, maschiano cherries, and light honey booziness. Flavors of cherries, light nuts, light sweet honey with a touch of driness at the end. Great mead, and glad I got to share it with Ryan.

(6oz bottle) Pours a clear yellow body with nice legs. Aroma of apricot, macadamia nuts, honey, and orange. Flavor of honey, almonds, cherries, and amaretto.

Bottle from batch 021224 via a trade. Pours with a clear golden body with good legs. full clarity. Aromas are great: complete almond paste. Caramel, ameretto, bready, floral, lots of almond, brown sugar, princess cake, mildly boozy, medium sweet, honey (waxy, mild citrus). All around damn fine smelling. Flavors are a little bit of a disappointment in comparison to the aroma. Flavors are not quite full sweet, very mild metallic, mild almond (unlike the aroma that was full of it), very light acidity, nutty, medium tannin, oily, vanilla. Medium sweet, vanilla, almond, grassy, some tannin. Viscous, medium to full bodied, still with decently well hidden ABV. A slightly harsh finish with grass and tannin. Still good overall.
