2.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
Bottle courtesy of Alan at Eric’s October 2013 tasting. Pours a clear lightly golden yellow body. Aroma is burnt plastic, abrasive floral notes and glue. Mouthfeel is prickly and harsh with notes of glue, burnt plastic, rubber, light honey, soapy fruits.

2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Bottle cracked by Al at tasting, looking forward to this offering until we opened it. Notes of fake perfume, potpouri, light honey, and sweetness. So carboanted and hard to get down. This thing was seriously rough. Don’t know why so many of the mead madness releases were terrible. Need to get back to the nip size bottle quality Kuhn.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Poured a clear yellow color for the bottle with aromas of wood, light sherry, and some honey. Flavors follow suit, light flavors with some boozy aftertaste, decent mead overall.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Label says "Sherry Cask Citrus Blossom". Pours very pale gold with some bubbles, which I find odd. Nose is peach, pear, some vinous white grape possibly. Mouth is sharply carbonated, so I don’t know what the deal is at this point. Lots of lighter fruits and some white grape, with a long, distinctive fermented honey finish. Finish is a tad too much in its sweetness and somewhat medicinal feel.

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle… Pours clear and looks a lot like water. However, looking more closely, I’ve decided it’s a faintly tinted straw color. After a swirl, nearly one hundred legs drip down the sides of my glass. The nose is acidic and I’m picking up neither sherry nor honey, but there’s a mild, woody note here. The flavor is semi-sweet and semi-bitter; a roundabout way of saying bittersweet, I suppose. I taste clover honey and more than a trace of wood as well. Tannic, coarse finish that dries way out.

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle acquired via trade with punkrkr27! First true mead by Kuhnhenn that I didn’t care for. Green apple in aroma, tart and crisp with the honey backbone. Lots of grape, sherry, and vanilla in flavor. The alcohol has a presence here. Seems disjointed. Things just don’t meld together as they should. Shame.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 11/20
Extremely dry, little bit of sweet cherry... Nice but not great. A bit of fruitiness but this some needs to be a bit sweeter to mellow out the flavors.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
[4261-20120120] 6.3floz bottle. Heavy floral apple white wine booze characteristics in the aroma. Clear, pale yellow body has no head but some thick legs. Floral honey wine flavour has a punch to the face with booze. Medium-full boozy body. Wow, boozy and phooooow. (6/3/6/3/13) 3.1
