Commercial Description:
This amber-golden colored beer is made with Simcoe hops, Belgian yeast and candy sugar. It exhibits a medium bitterness and finishes with the flavors of coriander and orange peel. Our beer has many aspects that make it truly unique. Aromas of banana, bubble gum, orange and spices are subtly noticed while the strong American hop character fives it a well balanced finish. 10.0% A.B.V.

Thanks go out to goryshkewych for making this one happen Growler poured into my Duvel glass produced a fingers worth of whit head that turned into a nice layer of thick lace all on top of a apricot colored body The aromas of mango and other citrus fruit sweet candy sugar and Belgian yeast as well as other spices and one mustn’t forget the Simcoe hops one of the nicest noses of all the brews I tried Taste of nice mango, orange, bananas, peaches, honey, and tangerine, but the hop’s and spice bitter keeps it from being overly sweet Medium body light carbonation (have to try one from a bottle) Really drinkable Belgian Strong Pale Ale hides the alcohol well. I have been enjoying this growler all weekend and will be sad to see it go

Tap GTMW 2008 Aroma is belgian, yeasty, oranges, and a lot of sweetness. Taste is sweet-spicy, belgian orange and hoppy. Finishes cloying, slightly bitter. Nice, spicy, hoppy beer. Enjoyable.

Bottle from ucusty. Thanks dude! Aroma although a little subdued due to age is nice and hoppy with some grapefruit and orange citrus notes. Orange golden pour with a thin head. The hoppy citrus combines nicely with the belgian aspect of this one; the yeasty banana, clove, spice, and sweet candy sugar. Light hops in the form of citrus and sweet spicy yeasty esters are the flavor profile. Banana candy, a touch of caramel malt perhaps?, and some alcohol. Does not drink like 10.5% at all, as the warming effect is slight and welcome. This was a nice BSA.

[1406-20080530] Bottle. Citrus grassy hops aroma has lots of orange peel and a hint of lemon juice. Hazy, medium orange brown body with a quick off-white bubbly head. Tasty grapefruit sweet navel orange citrus flavour has grassy bitter hoppiness. Medium body is quite hoppy. Quite nice.

Sampled @ Hopcat’s. Too watery, felt like this was done wrong. Spices and simcoe hops dominated the aroma. Color was trasparent, nice head. The smell was a lot better than the taste. Missing something here. Not what I expected.

10oz draft at the brewery: Glowing orange pour with a creamy, thick head. The nose is all Simcoe to me, apricot, mango and lots of sweet orange. The body is sweet and rich with a plethora of Belgian-esque attributes. The Simcoe takes the place of a orange peel addition, adding a uniquely American aspect to a solid Belgian-style beer. The results are great - crisp and fresh tasting, the hops play off the wheat, banana and bubble gum adding a great complexity. Very easy to drink for a high ABV brew.
