dchmela (702), Orlando, Florida, USA Jul 9, 2008 Thanks to polomagnifico for the bottle. Wow, this was 18%?? Pours a thin black with a gushing dark tan head. Slightly sour, roasty, chocolate aroma. Thick chocolate, roasted grain with hints of fruit in the taste. I found this tasted a lot better once it warmed up a bit, it became smoother and flavors softened. Kind of reminded me of a belgian style stout and very tasty.
KimJohansen (3259), Copenhagen V, Denmark Sep 3, 2008 Black with medium beige head. Vinious aroma with dark fruits, roasted malt and alcohol. Sweet and vinious flavour with hard roasted malt, caramel, chocolate, coffee and alcohol. Nice! Crosling (1644), Loveland, Colorado, USA Aug 22, 2008 It’s a black colored beer with ruby edges. Fairly nice nose, with a variety of dark fruits, as well as a bit of chocolate and coffee. Really nice nose. Flavor is fully packed, loaded with dark fruits (blackberry, plum, cherry and currant), as well as some notes of dark chocolate, coffee and a light hint of alcohol. I like it. Papsoe (9999), Frederiksberg, Denmark Jul 31, 2008 (Bottle 35,5 cl) Pours a muddy dark brown with floating impurities and a creamy light brown head. Fruit, burned malt and a distinct burning alcohol in the nose. Quite full-bodied but with a low carbonation. Notes of nots and fruit - dried and overripe - and then again this roaring alcohol in the finish. Wauw - extreme! 270708 Magic_dave6 (3752), London, Greater London, England Jul 21, 2008 Bottle thanks to hopscotch, shared at the RBESG08 Grand tasting. Alround rating: Inky bitterness, raw alcohol, grassy harshness, WOW this is exactly everything i do not want in a beer. TBone (4975), Pori, Finland Jul 20, 2008 Bottled@RBESG Grand Tasting 2008
Pitch black color, foamy tan head. Oaky aroma. Foamy mouthfeel, licorice and vanilla flavored. Good stuff.
