PhillyCraft (3222) - Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA - JAN 7, 2013
Bottle split with James, Alan, Bill, and Pat shared by James. Poured a clearish straw yellow with no head/lacing. Notes were honeycomb, earth, and underripe strawberry. As it became room temp the finish brought about a light tartness from the berries, mostly just flowery honey though. Nice mead but might have needed some more time to bring out the tart fruitiness of the strawberry and rhubarb.

Bottle generously shared by Mikem after HF saison festival. Aroma is strawberry, apple, flowers. Taste is great strawberry flavor with a tart acid kick that balances the sweetness quite nicely. Really enjoyable.

Bottle shared kindly by Mikem409. This is one of my favorite...ahem....mead flavors. Strawberry seems to be a very difficult flavor to use as Iíve had so many terrible strawberry beers by very good breweries. This one isnít overly sweet or fake chemical tasting. So far kuhnhenn has done amazingly with their meads.
