2012 bottle. This Pyment is a pale pinkish-gold color with sticky legs. Aroma of strawberries and honey. Full-bodied with flavors of strawberry, honey and a bit of vanilla. The finish is semi-sweet and slightly woody with a strawberry aftertaste. Pretty good all around.

6oz bottle. Prob thanks to mike and Monica for choosing this to drink for the evening.. Pours a mostly transparent golden straw with showings of leggy backings along the edges if the glass... Aroma of moderately sweet honey upfront with a subtle strawberry backend on the finish but is somewhat understated as a whole. White grapes surface moreso after the initial dose... Flavors dissuade very little as the honeycombs remain in the forefront which is enjoyed to let the base really showcase itself. More of a white wine vinous influence comes through later while the strawberry notes are held at bay. Medium bodied with just the right level of honey character.

Bottle shared with bauermj. A clear light pink in color and completely still. Nose is phenomenal, vinous merlot character and some honey in the background. The wine like nature of the mead is a little lost in the flavor, its a little post among the sweetness from the honey. It’s still there, it just takes a back seat. Mouthfeel is smooth, not boozy, sweet, and a long finish. One of the better meads I’ve had from Kuhnhenn. Still not entirely sure how to properly rate a mead, but I think this is one of the better ones I’ve had.

UPDATED: NOV 28, 2012 Bottle - pours a golden-yellow, a nice amount of strawberries in the nose, the taste has about the same amount of strawberry taste. Tastes of honey, white grapes, and strawberry. It was really smooth. I know the bottles are only 6oz but usually it takes me a while to drink one, this one went quick in a great way. Im not sure why I didn’t enjoy this more the first time.

Bottle with courtesy of Allen, with Vincent and Scott. Poured a very light gold with no head. Nose of a slightly boozy sweet honey and white grapes. Taste is honey, white grapes, strawberry with a tart green apple finish. A bit of a syrupy mouthfeel.

Bottle with scott, tom, and allen at lost abbey dinner, pours a clear golden color. No head or lace. Aromas of honey, white grapes, taste is grape skins, apple pie, honey and light vanilla bean. Medium bodied mead. Light strawberry flavors. Puckery apple finish. Awesome mead.

Pours yellow with red tones showing through. Subtle sweet honey and light berry. A hint of spice. Flavor is big on the berry rich and sweet. Nice tones of honey with a light dash of flowers. Wonderful sweet and fruity from start to finish.

Bottle my brother brought me back from Kuhnhenn. Light blush color with no head and some legs. Strawberry and honey nose with lots of white grape influence. Sweet strawberry and honey flavor with some white wine character before a semi-sweet finish.

Bottle thanks to Steve!. Pours peach. Nose/taste of strawberry, berry citrus, vanilla, honey and white wine. Medium body. Semi-sweet.

Gold pour. Strawberries, white zinfandel wine, honey aroma. Flavor is a nice mix of berries, honey and sweet grapes.
