2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
(On tap at the 2003 Michigan Brewers Fest) A fresh witbier - but I don't get any tangerine at all! Tart and fleet...and not very good, I'm afraid...

Tap. Deep golden with small head. Pretty citrus forward. Stronger malt than most wits. Nice, but not anything exciting.

3.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 14/20
Draft pour at the source. Pours a hazy, bright yellow with a white head of foam. Good retention. The aroma has floral, sweet citrus notes. Lightly sweet. Lighter body and moderate carbonation.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Draft at MBGSF07 from notes. Pours a hazy yellow orange color with a small white head. The aroma and flavor have pale wheat malts, mild tangerine notes, slight tart, mild spices, surprisingly boring for these guys.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
on tap on the premises. hazy very light golden pour with a decent white cap showing some retention and lacing. bubblegum and phenols upfront, bitter herbs and spices, wheat, decent fruitiness including a lightly zesty citrus - undiscernable tangerines. average carbonation, light body, almost dry herba-spicy-grassy finish. quite nice, for a wit.

3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
On tap @ Cask Pub & Kitchen. A massive head on this. The barkie had to struggle to get it in my glass. Looks alright with a deep blurry golden looking body and as mentioned the head is really big, lasting, white in color and lacing. Sweetish wheat aroma. Some cardboard and oranges. Mild for a wit. A bit mild in the taste also. Light oppvaskmiddel / detergent bitterness, wheat, grains and a light acidic citrus zesty sting. It has a light oily mouthfeel and a just above average carbonation level. It kinda gets to soapy bitter for a wit this. Not bad tasting it anything, but I like my wits a bit sweeter and more "spicy" if you like. 09.11.2013

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Reviewed from notes. Consumed June 2013 at the brewery.
The appearance had a hazy yellow body with a one finger white foamy head that dissipates and concaves within a minute leaving some nice clingy foamy lacing gracing the sides of the glass.
The smell had a spicy and yeasty up front with some nice citrusy tones backing that up, coriander is slightly there.
The taste was spicy and yeasty again with a nice wheat back up, dry sweet yet citrus aftertaste and a dry yeasty finish.
The palate sat about a light to medium, slightly sessionable - seems like it should be more due to the low ABV, but there seems to be something that makes it feel beefed up a bit - hmmm.... I like it. Carbonation is adequately felt for the style and for me.
Overall, well, I say this is good for the style and good for me, I’d have it again.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
UPDATED: APR 1, 2014 Tap: Labeled as "Kuhnie Wit" at the brewery. Golden yellow, clarity like crazy with a thick white foam that lasts for quite a while. Aroma is soft, gummy and fruity. Sweet Bazooka Joe, mild spice, lots of wheat, and an underlying, almost melon-like fruity aspect. Taste is a bit watered down; grainy wheat, bready yeast, a touch of gum, and a much lighter fruit aspect. Faint orange zest and again, a nebulous, mild melon in the finish. Not the most flavorful wit but decent nonetheless.
