PhillyCraft (3224) - Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA - JUL 5, 2012
UPDATED: MAR 31, 2013 Bottle with Allen and Pat, compliments of Allen on 4th of July. Pours a slightly cleanish golden color, not much head or lace to note. Aromas of peach guts, mango, juicy honey, pineapple, and green tea. Taste is peach nectar, apricot, mango, wood, cinnamon, vanilla, and the same green tea aftertaste that was present in the aroma. Maybe the best mead I have tried to date.

Pours a burnt yellow color, bubbles on top. Nose is tea, floral, herbal, honey sweetness. Black tea is upfront and enjoyable, honey sweetness, burnt sugars, light fruity notes. If you like tea and mead, then you’ll like this one.

dionysus (1448) - Arizona, USA - FEB 25, 2012
Huge thanks to daknole, an excellent way to finish off the night. Aroma is herbal with notes of black tea, and definite tropical fruit. Flavor shows pineapple, mango, and guava, as well as tea/honey. Overall body is moderate and the balance is exceptional. The fruit and tea compliment eachother nicely while some backend acidity keeps it from becoming cloying. Another interesting mead from Kuhnhenn.

bottle... a bit of an ugly mead, muddy dark gold with copper, no head... subtle nose but nice, a sweet front that reminds me of a tropical breeze lotion but can’t describe the components, with a light tea finish, really balanced... the taste is more tea than anything, wish it had more the breeze, but this is good, especially with low expectations

Pour is a light orange color with next to no head. Nose is of black tea, honey, some booze, and very light tropical fruits. Taste is identical, all the makings of a good mead.
