Bottle as shown. Pours a cloudy orange with small frothy white head leaving spotty lacing. The aroma is floral hop and vanilla. Medium mouthfeel with a sweet malt and light hop with sweet finish. A good barley wine from Kuhnhenn.

This was a huge surprise. My expectations were so low but this pulled through. Really nice doughy biscuity maltiness with lots of sweetness but it doesnt finish cloying. Relatively drinkable and nice.

Sweet and thick, murky malts, not terrible, not giantly cloying. Decent.

Cask at the Blind Tiger NYC sept 2012. Hazy brown beer with no head. fruity and malty aroma. Fruity, sweet, malty flavour. Nice one :-)

12oz bottle, not sure from when .. . muddy amber .. . mild foam . .. city sucks, out of europe for you .. . mild sugar, mild oxidation, and old prune .. . ok stuff but rather lifeless .. . . My mother’s gravy is so lumpy it’s having a biopsy.

Draft. Aroma has notes of citrus hops, orange candy, caramel, malted wheat and wood. Awesome nose! Hazy dark amber hue with an average off-white head and great lace. Flavor is very sweet and bitter. Palate is very full bodied and oily soft. Overall a wonderful wheat wine that nailed every mark. No trace of that 11%abv. Just loved this one.

UPDATED: OCT 6, 2012 12 oz. bottle, sent from northernbrews (thanks a lot, Jeff), pours dark amber with a small off-white head. Aroma has a whole array of things - full of wheat, cardboard, some dry hops, toasted nuts, grains, some feint fruits, caramel and spices. Flavour is full of spicy notes and toasted nuts upfront, with dry citrusy hops, wheat and dark fruits further back. Quite light-bodied for the ABV, with a very sweet, wheaty, spicy and boozy finish. Decent stuff, but nothing overly great.

Cask at Blind Tiger, NYC. Cloudy amber/copper beer with a small bubbly beige head. Malty fruity aroma, hazelnuts, toffee, vanilla, banana, peach, chocolate, barley, dark bread, brown sugar, banana notes, figs, raisins. Malty vinous flavor, nuts, warming alcohol, hay, figs, plums, raisins, some chocolate, dark bread, spicy notes, toffee, caramel, brown sugar, licorice notes, oak notes, banana, creamy, some dades. Malty fruity finish, dades, toffee, tart notes, dades, some banana. Alcohol is incredibly well hidden, I get the feeling this cask has been aging for some time. World class!

2012 bottle from a trade with Unclerudy. Pours clear dark copper color with off white head. Aromas of toffee, brown sugar, and citrus. Sweet toffee and juicy citrus hop flavors with some burnt caramel. Thick and syrupy mouthfeel with minimal carbonation. Thanks Mike.

Bottle. Pours an amber color with a small white head. Has a fruity malty spicy caramel and dark fruit aroma. Sweetish wheat malty spicy caramel hoppy flavor with hints of dark fruit. Has a sweetish wheat malty spicy caramel and dark fruit finish.
