COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our Imperial White Ale is a cloudy straw color, and has a zesty citrus nose and a medium sweet aroma. It is refreshingly crisp with a bit of a wheat flavor. With medium hop bitterness, this is a delight-ful brew for any season. Formerly 9.5%

Draught at the newer location, 5/5/16.
Cloudy goldenrod with some brass tints and a medium-sized white head that slowly fades to cover.
Lots of orange rind, white pepper and a big fruity peach character. Honey, sourdough bread and a moderate amount of clean alcohol, heat things up somewhat. Seems quite attenuated from the nose and the alcohol and bready/grainy notes from the malt are a bit overexposed, it seems. The ester/phenol profile, otherwise, is pretty passable, with no cotton candy or heavy banana.
The texture is slick with a bit of syrup/alcohol and moderate carbonation that is mostly tight. Some bitter notes, grainy/bready malt at times (light) ending with a touch of alcohol heat/dryness. A bit heavy-handed with the dry phenols, bready malts and alcohol.

pale golden clear. Honey pils malty, some belgy spicing on nose. Med bodied, quite flavourful, nice smooth spices, cprkander, citrus. Finishes a bit doughy but nice overall.

Majority of 4 oz. pour, on tap at the brewery’s taproom in Warren, Michigan. Consumed on 4-21-16. Pours a light gold. Mostly clear with some haze. Thick head. Urine and green grape scents. Grapey flavor; sweet white wine. Much too sweet for my tastes. Also reminds me of sake. Boozy. Full body; too filling. Overall, not my thing.

Tap. Poured clear golden color with an average frothy white head that was mostly lasting with good lacing. Moderate yeast and citrus aroma. Medium body with a smooth texture and soft carbonation. Medium complex sweet flavor with a medium sweet finish of moderate duration. My expectations where met.

Tap at Kuhnhenn. Hazy amber pour with a small head that fades to a thick ring. Aroma is packed coriander, some fruitiness and bubblegum, and perfumy flowers. Tastes way too spiced for my liking. Strong Belgian yeast finish. Noticeable alcohol as well. I’ve never gotten this on tap in the past since I usually hat witbiers and this confirmed it for me. It’s not terrible but I’m never ordering it again.
