3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle courtesy of Brendan. Pours a beautiful hazy amber with bright white lacing. Aroma is pine, light sweet malt and resin hop. Mouthfeel is medium with tons of spice, too malty, light muted hop and lots of bread.

In general I´m not a fan of the IPA style but this one really likes me very much. Great harmony, aroma and taste. Congrats.

Nice dry, rye, and hoppy. Cool label too. Not a bad beer. South American influenced.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
New Beer Distributors, NY 12oz ($2.25): Pours amber with a whitish head. Aroma is maca root, mellow fruitiness, and a hint of citrus. Taste is hoppy, but not particularly bitter until the astringent aftertaste. Kind of malty. Well balanced. I think the APA was better, but this was still good.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Tap at the Ginger Man, NYC, 18/05/13.
Lightly hazed golden with a thin beige head that clears to a film.
Nose is caramel malt, hops, sugars.
Taste pretty much mimics aroma, hops, light grass, citrus, caramel malt forward.
Medium bodied, fine carbonation, light hop bitterness in the finish.
Well balanced malt forward IPA.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Pouring at TAP-NY. Pours a faintly hazed amber with a thin white head. Musky on the nose, with some brown sugar and soft hops. Medium bodied, spicy with a soft sweetness. Tangy and a touch of sweet malt. Long bitterness with touches of grapefruit and more maca coming through. These are rather interesting.

I truly am enjoying this beer I never had macs root before but will try to taste it to know what it brings to this ipa but non the less this is a crisp almost amber in color hoppy layered ale, hints of several American hops pack a nice bite for the palate with the upfront hops making way to very smooth malt character finishing pleasantly.
