COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Dry English ale yeast, Five types of malt, One type of hops, Maca Root, Real Banana, and Natural Flavors.

We are sure you will appreciate this unique brew with a familiar flavor. This smooth and tasty English style ale is brewed with real banana flavors. We worked hard to keep the flavor profile balanced so that you will recognize the classic nutty and light roasty flavors of a brown ale along with the banana overtones. Like we said – we didn’t monkey around on this one!

Sampled from draught (at Draught 55). A spectacular brew given its low(ish) strength. Complex flavours are perfectly balanced and makes this a ’by the gallon’ beer in my book.

Very banana-ey aroma from the pour. Couldn't have more than 2/3 but quite a nice beer. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Very nice banana nutty aroma with some roasted malt. Flavor is an authentic banana with a nice nutty flavor. Really full flavored and lots of malt in there. Has a slight bit of a fake banana finish. Also slight sweet in the finish. Overall very good. Lots of flavors in this one, but not something I could drink too many of. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pours very dark brown with a generous mocha head. Aroma of fresh banana, banana bread, just banana all over the place. The flavor is sweet but not cloying in any way. No hop flavors or aromas are present. Again, lots of banana flavor. You almost loose the brown ale aspect of this but that isn’t too bad here; it pulls it off handily. Interesting beer.

From the 12 fl. oz. bottle. Deep brown pour with a lacing-leaving tan head. Vibrant and colorful aroma of banana (far and away), nuts, and a touch of cocoa. Medium body. The banana fruitiness is the first things I get when I sip. But then the cocoa and nuttiness inches forward to balance it out. I think what is fascinating is the mixture of esters and flavors so this deserves a higher rating simply for its creativity.

Bottle pour. Dark, blood-red brown. Small, slightly off-white head. Minimal lacing. Concentrated nose of banana bread (truth in advertising!): fruit, nuts, butter, brown sugar and a hint of spice. Surprisingly constrained and not overdone. Kudos. Taste follows, with earthiness from the Maca root. Brown sugar from the nose is supplanted by caramel notes on taste. Banana shows most on finish, which is dry and consistent with brown ales. Typically not a fan of banana beers, but this one works better than most. I would actually have a second. Much better than expected.

Pours dark brown with a small head. Aroma is banana. A bit thick in body with light carbonation. Flavor is not as banana as the nose with some nice nutty flavors

Bottle from half time. Pours dark, dark brown but pretty light on the viscosity. Smells like a banana now and later which immediately transports me back to my childhood. Tastes like banana but not with the same intensity as the nose. Finishes clean. It’s quite a unique beer.

beerbill (3538) - Laurel, New York, USA - APR 20, 2014
12 oz. bottle. Pours a reddish brown with a moderate tan head that lasted through the first quarter of the glass and left partial lace. The aroma of this beer is extraordinary; just like fresh baked banana bread. Ample bananas, brown sugar, and even walnuts are all present. The flavor is very good with malt, caramel and plenty of banana. Mild bitterness at the finish. Medium bodied.

GL2814 (361) - New York, New York, USA - APR 10, 2014
Pours a deep brown with a thin head, this beer epitomizes banana fosters. With bananas in the nose and taste, what makes this beer really special is the subtle caramel malts, and slight toasted nutty taste.
