COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Kulmbacher Edelherb is pale and dry. Its special taste is thanks to the soft brewing water from pristine, crystal-clear springs of the Fichtelgebirge, the noblest malting barley from regional farmlands, handpicked hops from the Hallertau, and our legendary brewing skills.

Bottle. Pretty clean German pils. Crisp and clean, with some light grassyness. Perhaps a bit thin, but drinkable.

in keg (5 lt.), Is of a clear and pale golden color, with frothy and white an average head. Very weak aroma to herbs. The flavor is smooth and bittersweet, It has an average body. In the principle there is something of malty, but very slight, to still arrive at a slighter end, of hoppy and to bitter. A too slight, too smooth Pilsner.

Pale gold pour with a one finger white head and decent lacing. Bready biscuit malt aroma with a touch of spicy noble hops, and hint of light citrus and honey. Very bready malt flavor with some grassy lemon notes and a light bitterness on the finish. Light refreshing body with a bit of chewyness on the finish. Would like a bit more of a hop profile and a bit more crispness in the finish in this one.

From a slender 11.2 oz. bottle with a freshness date on the back label, sampled at cellar temperature in a pilsener glass. Poured a clear pale yellowish lager golden with a large frothy, foamy white head, decent retention, small amount of ringed sticking. Aromas of lemon honey covered grains, a tad nutty, and a light floral spiciness. Good carbonation and a crisp, dry, smooth medium-light bodied mouthfeel. Tastes of dry saltines, lemon honey that lends to a light fruitiness, a subtle nutty yeastiness, brisk spicy hops, and a dry, crisp, spicy, malty finish. Easy, smooth drinkability, a pretty decent pilsener, refreshing.

Bottle. Clear yellow / golden color with a average fizzy fair lacing white head. Aroma is moderate malty and hoppy, straw. Flavor is moderate sweet and bitter with a average duration. Body is light to medium, texture is watery, carbonation is soft. A refreshing Pils but nothing to write home about.

The aroma is unremarkable malt and German type hops. The appearance is pale gold with a beautiful foamy three finger head. The flavor has a balance of hops and malt but it’s not a very good taste. The palate is thin. This a good beer for people who think there are no pilsners with hops.

faroeviking (10293) - FAROE ISLANDS - JAN 31, 2007
Bottle. Yellow with a nice big creamish well lasting white head. Aroma of hops and bit fruitiness. Flavour is fresh and bit crispy, some sweetness, good hoppiness with some maltiness. Dry bitter finish. A good tasting German Pilsener.

Panzerfaust (561) - Hanga Roa, Easter Island, CHILE - JAN 6, 2007
From a 5 liter barrel:
Pours a clear, brilliant yellow color. Head is big, white and creamy. It leaves a film and a neat lacing. Aroma is herbal, fresh with notes of grass, mint, cereal grains, anise and a little of yeast in the form of cardboard. Flavor is slightly bitter, herbal with a malty base. It has sweet touches of cereal grains with a good hoppy presence, but overall flat and unexciting. Body is medium, creamy and smooth. Carbonation is low, surprisingly. Finish is medium, chalky with some earthy notes. Herbal aftertaste. A refreshing Pils but nothing to write home about.

This is a solid German pils. It does have some soap in the flavor, but there are also hops and a light malt base. Refreshing, more than it is anything else. Gold color, well carbonated.
