Kulmbacher Edelherb is pale and dry. Its special taste is thanks to the soft brewing water from pristine, crystal-clear springs of the Fichtelgebirge, the noblest malting barley from regional farmlands, handpicked hops from the Hallertau, and our legendary brewing skills.

BOTTLE: pours very clear golden with white head and effervescent bubbles rising. Aroma and appearance are nice for a pils. Nice body at finish as it rolls down the tongue. Short finish. Not bad for a pils.

UPDATED: FEB 24, 2008 Beer club selection. Good looking pilsener, poured a clear pale yellow with a brilliant white head. Nothing special in the aroma - slight bready maltiness offset by slightly spicy hops. Just a sense of sweet maltiness and no hoppiness to speak of. Very nice carbonation on the light body. Not a great beer, but certainly very refreshing and drinkable.

Very matter of fact drinking beer. It’s a Pilsner yes, but there’s many others which have more style and flavor. Weak aroma and that nice easy drinkability. Bone dry finish is fine, but the level of hop flavor is very shallow. Any flavor present is very hesitant to rise up and be heard, tasted or seen. Feels like a discount beer to my senses.

Smells bad, pours a clear yellow and tastes like a Rolling Rock - pale malt, metallic, watery. Not a fan.

11.2oz bottle. Pale yellow golden color. Deliciously crisp and drinkable, with a light floral aroma. Mild hop balance with a sweet aftertaste. Perfect session beer.

tastes more like a marzen because of the munich malt taste, or maybe i am tripping. sweet malty aroma and a hoppy flavor, medium bodied.

The bottle looks really noble. The beer in the glass is also okay. The flavor is modest dry, modest "dusty" finish, very drinkable. Good beer.

Good pale lager aroma, nice and clean, friendly and fine. Continuous rolling rising carbonation in the glass, very noteworthy. Excellent amount of fizz on the palate, likable. Initially this is surprisingly bitter then it mellows out in a way. Becomes more like a good pale lager. Taste after taste it becomes more and more friendly. I want to give it a 4 for taste but the enjoyable factor on this stuff is pretty high so I’ll notch it up to a 5 or 6. Remnants of pilsner bitter bite on the finish, refreshing to the end. A likable beer. Probably an excellent session brew.
