2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20
Draught/pub at "2 Stelle" in Brescia. Compact and fairly good head. Limpid and bubbly yellow color. Medium scent, notes of malt, light alcohol and hoppines end. Fresh and palatable taste; fairly pungent and with a pretty bitter finish. Enough persistence and though acceptable.

2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
(bottle) Clear and pale golden colour with a medium frothy white head. Faint floral hoppy aroma. Soft bittersweet flavour, light to medium body. Slight malty start with a fine but average hopbitter finish. Clean and well-made Pilsner type but still nothing special.

2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
UPDATED: OCT 14, 2005 (Bottle 33 cl) Normally a Southern-German pils is expected to be less bitter than their Northern counterparts. But this is an "Edelherb" and hence rather hoppy - both bitter but also with a lovely aromatic hoppiness. Still this has room for a certain softness in body. Straw golden with a nice creamy head. 291099 and 060903

4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 15/20
UPDATED: NOV 12, 2006 Bottle - Creamy floral aroma. Clear yellow color with ample long-lasting head. Creamy malt flavor with a very interesting bitter hops finish with a hint of smokiness. A very interesting pils - the more I drink, the more the smokiness came out. A very unique pilsener.

Floral hoppy aroma. Taste is slightly malty and too sweet. A bitter finish though. Also some fruitiness, but as a whole too stale for me.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
UPDATED: OCT 19, 2005 In the 0.5L bottle in Mannheim. Yellow high carbonated with a fluffy big head in my label-matching fluted glass. Good yeasty malty aroma. Strong bitter bite upfront that mellows with a few more sips. Not bad, but not the best German pilsner I had on this day. UPDATE: Now on tap at the Huber Haus 10/18/05.

2.2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20
Looks the part of the ubiquitous pilsener. Uninteresting (non-existent?) aroma. Peculiar bittersweet taste - more interesting than an ordinary pilsener, but this may be an acquired taste. It certainly doesn’t enchant me.
