COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Kulmbacher Edelherb is pale and dry. Its special taste is thanks to the soft brewing water from pristine, crystal-clear springs of the Fichtelgebirge, the noblest malting barley from regional farmlands, handpicked hops from the Hallertau, and our legendary brewing skills.

Bottle given to me by nuplastikk, pours a pale yellow with a ton of tiny bubbles and carbonation with a surprisingly thick white head and lacing in the glass, aroma has a little bit of skunk to it with some grain and sweet malt, the flavor has an off front end with some funk, but not the good kind, finishes with a metal like finish, tastes bigger than 4.9% and that’s not a good thing.

Tap. Pale yellow color. Small white head, stays. Sour and malty aroma. Sweetish, papery, malty flavor. Not offensive

Jonb5 (315) - Greater London, ENGLAND - JUL 28, 2013
330ml bottle, poured into La Chouffe tulip. A: Pale colour, small head which didn’t hang around long, minimal lacing. S: Hallertau hop, fruity, grassy. T: Lots of bitterness as title would suggest, notes of bread and grass. Balanced but uncomplex. M: Crisp, light body, well carbonated, coarse. O: A decent enough Pils, I think it might be hard to drink more than 2 or 3 because of the bitterness.

Bottle given to me by my brother. Clear gold pour with a huge white head. Aroma of malt sweetness and crisp hop. Malty flavor with a bit of sweetness before a crisp, refreshing and slightly bitter finish.

Really clear golden one with 2 fingers of white head. Grassy and citrus in nose with some cereal. In mouth is mostly citrus, german hops and some cereal and bread. Carbonation is high.

Bottle review from August 2012 notes: Poured crystal clear, golden, with a short-lived white head that left some spotty lacing. While the light malt dominate the hops in the aroma, the reverse is true of the flavor, with the hops more prominent even in mid-taste. Medium+ carbonation; medium body. O: no flaws but nothing stands out either.

Battle. Golden with nice size white head. Straw, metal and lime aroma. Sweet malt aroma and typical pilsener notes with a metallic note as well. Decent palate; quite smooth so it scores a little extra.

0.5l bottle. Clear pale golden body, white head. Aroma of bread, honey, hay and floral hops. The flavor is balanced between the bready, honey-like maltyness and the floral hops. The finish is hoppy. Very easy to drink. I like it.
