COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Kulmbacher Edelherb is pale and dry. Its special taste is thanks to the soft brewing water from pristine, crystal-clear springs of the Fichtelgebirge, the noblest malting barley from regional farmlands, handpicked hops from the Hallertau, and our legendary brewing skills.

Bottled. Golden colour, with minor white head. Aroma standard pilsnerish, thought the malts have a very vegetably touch. Flavour also quite standard pilsener, malts and hops, and quite salty.

Lightly spicy herbal aroma. Pale golden with rocky head. A bity dusty, a touch of cookie, but not much else in the malt department. Moderate bitterness, average malt character, moderate-full bodied, some straw and honey, a bit flabby in the finish. Unoxidized (apparently fresh bottle) Moderately bitterstweet finish.

Bottle. Golden colour with a big white head. Malty vegetable aroma and a light sweet malty, hoppy taste. Medium body with a light dry finish.

UPDATED: AUG 6, 2012 Bottled. Hoppy grassy aroma and clear golden pour with noticeable carbonation. Malt profile is a bit weak, but nicely bitter through and through. Decent pils. [01 February 2006][2.7] Re-rate over six years later: Clear golden with minimal carb and a sudsy off-white head. Nose has some weak malt, taste is grainy but mild, a mild sourness with matching sweetness but really not much bitterness. Hops are restrained and papery. Crisp light-medium body and we’re scraping the bottom of the supermarket barrel at this point. [07 August 2012][2.5]

light, small carbonated bubbles, hint of grapefruit/citrus, very easy to drink, refreshing

Light, lemony and saaz aroma. Looks nice for a pils, with champange like carbonation and a nice rocky head. Taste is pretty well balanced but a little pissy as it warms. Nice and quaffable cold, not so bad overall.

Bottled. Pours pale yellow in color. Slight sweet malty aroma with a little bit of graininess. Fairly thick on the palate. Nice drinkable pilsner. Bitter finish. Pretty flavorful.

33cl bottle. Golden color. White head dies down, but leaves some lace. Slight fruitiness (lemon??)...moderate hop spice and mellow malt in the subdued aroma...drinks with a good balance of malt and hop spice, neither seeming to really overpower the other...crisp finish. This is a pils I’m really learning to enjoy. Plenty of flavor and a good body but maintains its mellowness and smoothness. Slowly showing me that there is more to light colored lagers than I originally thought.

Deep yellow and quite active ... the typical German head dies a bit more quickly than most. Aroma of lemon and grass. Biscuity and sweet, a bit more syrupy than some. OK.
