Kulmbacher Edelherb is pale and dry. Its special taste is thanks to the soft brewing water from pristine, crystal-clear springs of the Fichtelgebirge, the noblest malting barley from regional farmlands, handpicked hops from the Hallertau, and our legendary brewing skills.

Light, lemony and saaz aroma. Looks nice for a pils, with champange like carbonation and a nice rocky head. Taste is pretty well balanced but a little pissy as it warms. Nice and quaffable cold, not so bad overall.

Bottled. Pours pale yellow in color. Slight sweet malty aroma with a little bit of graininess. Fairly thick on the palate. Nice drinkable pilsner. Bitter finish. Pretty flavorful.

33cl bottle. Golden color. White head dies down, but leaves some lace. Slight fruitiness (lemon??)...moderate hop spice and mellow malt in the subdued aroma...drinks with a good balance of malt and hop spice, neither seeming to really overpower the other...crisp finish. This is a pils I’m really learning to enjoy. Plenty of flavor and a good body but maintains its mellowness and smoothness. Slowly showing me that there is more to light colored lagers than I originally thought.

Deep yellow and quite active ... the typical German head dies a bit more quickly than most. Aroma of lemon and grass. Biscuity and sweet, a bit more syrupy than some. OK.

Golden in color, white head. Fairly balanced interplay with some light citrus and grassy hops. Lighter bodied. Lacking in any major character, but pleasant and relatively refreshing.

Bottle. Straw colored yellow with a huge foamy white head. Nose is slighly skunked with light sweet malts, Euro hops, and light biscuit notes. Taste is sweet malts, light citrus, grass, flowery Euro hops, and buttery biscuits. Body is light and rather refreshing. Mild carbonation fizziness. Ends with light biscuity notes, citrus, grass, Euro hops and grains. Eh....

Pale yellow, decent head. Aroma was sweetish, with a slight moldy hay hop presence. Also sweet in the mouth, more than I would care for, with a grassy hop finish. There was, however, a nice lingering bitterness that saved this beer for me. Not bad.

Draught/pub at "2 Stelle" in Brescia. Compact and fairly good head. Limpid and bubbly yellow color. Medium scent, notes of malt, light alcohol and hoppines end. Fresh and palatable taste; fairly pungent and with a pretty bitter finish. Enough persistence and though acceptable.

(bottle) Clear and pale golden colour with a medium frothy white head. Faint floral hoppy aroma. Soft bittersweet flavour, light to medium body. Slight malty start with a fine but average hopbitter finish. Clean and well-made Pilsner type but still nothing special.
