COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Kulmbacher Edelherb is pale and dry. Its special taste is thanks to the soft brewing water from pristine, crystal-clear springs of the Fichtelgebirge, the noblest malting barley from regional farmlands, handpicked hops from the Hallertau, and our legendary brewing skills.

A light yellow beer with a fine white head. The aroma is sweet with good notes of hops and grain. The flavor is well hopped and slightly bitter.

Bottle: Golden yellow witha medium foamy head that quickly fades. Dusty, fruity and sweet nose; taste is crips, refreshing and slightly bitter. A solid German Pils.

Sigmund (5104) - Tau, NORWAY - APR 11, 2004
UPDATED: APR 12, 2004 (5 liter minikeg, bought in Norway - ABV here is 4.5%). Typical pils golden colour, large head. Hoppy but not very strong aroma. Flavour is surprisingly malty, slightly sweeter and less crisp than the somewhat stronger EKU Pilsner which I prefer (also in a minikeg). Still, this is a rather tasty pilsener, miles ahead of the many tasteless "neutral" pilseners you get these days.

Light golden in color, small white head.hoppy, with a clean dry finish.A good example of a European pils but nothing that impresses me.

A quite average pilsener. Quite hoppy and bitter. However, not as complex as most pilseners from the Czech Republic.

Average beer, like most Kulmbacher beers. Not bad, by any means, but its rather average. Flavor is a bit underwhealmning and watery with a bitter aftertaste. Good flavor of malt and hops though. Perhaps, if it was only a bit more flavorful, and the hops were less sour, then it would be a pretty darn good pils.

Not so good ad the Monchshof original, but still a refreshing pils. The body probably is too thin, while the aftertaste too much hoppy and bitter.

Negligible aroma. Plae straw color, low carb. dishwater bubbles in the head. Sweet medium base, but with a ok bitterhop building on top. Pretty standard classic german pils.

i'm not very impressed. dry kind of funky flavor. on the plus side its easy drinking and would be great for a hot day. so many other beers fit the same bill.
