COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Kulmbacher Edelherb is pale and dry. Its special taste is thanks to the soft brewing water from pristine, crystal-clear springs of the Fichtelgebirge, the noblest malting barley from regional farmlands, handpicked hops from the Hallertau, and our legendary brewing skills.

pours clear bright yellow with a decent white cap, some retention and lacing. cereals-honeyed malts and corn, mild fruity notes - some grape and apple juice, hint of lemons, clean yeast, few sulfur. moderate carbonation, light body - oily, grassy-herbal with a grapefruit bite finish. no character. drinkable and quenching. not too much of a macro pils-like stuff.

Clear, gold color. Frothy and long lasting, white head. Aroma of malt and grain. Light bitterness. Little hoppy taste. Average carbonation.

500ml bottle with a golden neck, shared by Gaute. Firm, white head leaving nice lacework on the glassware. Clear, straw coloured body. Hay and pale malts on the nose. Rather faint taste of half-sweet, pale malts alongside a drop of herbal hops. Clean and soft in the mouth. Okay (Tromsø 24.10.2013).

Bottle 4.9abv purchased via Alko/Kilpisjärvi Finland. Moderate white head, but fine lacings, and pale golden body with visible carbonation, small bubbles. Standard pilsener hoppy aroma. Tastes hops, grains, grassy malts. Mouthfeel not watery, actually nice, somewhat sweet but semi-dry. Ends with some bread and dough, and overall a quite full-bodied one. Enjoyed 2013-10-24 at RateMeet with Rune.

Tuoksussa ruohoista humalointia. Hieman vetinen suutuntuma. Taisipa olla huono lasikin, kun näin mitäänsanomattomalta maistui.

Keg. Pours a pale yellow with a white head. Hoppy aroma. Taste is a boring "round" sweet hoppy concoction. Not bad, but no more than average. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pours a clear straw yellow with a small lasting white head. Aroma and taste is of sweet grains, light citrus, hay with some light malt and barley, and mild bitterness. A medium body, crisp with moderate carbonation. Overall a good drinking and refreshing brew.

Bottle given to me by nuplastikk, pours a pale yellow with a ton of tiny bubbles and carbonation with a surprisingly thick white head and lacing in the glass, aroma has a little bit of skunk to it with some grain and sweet malt, the flavor has an off front end with some funk, but not the good kind, finishes with a metal like finish, tastes bigger than 4.9% and that’s not a good thing.
