Kulmbacher Edelherb is pale and dry. Its special taste is thanks to the soft brewing water from pristine, crystal-clear springs of the Fichtelgebirge, the noblest malting barley from regional farmlands, handpicked hops from the Hallertau, and our legendary brewing skills.

Nice golden pour. Skunky aroma. Flavor is pretty average, but grew on me a little bit over the course of the glass. Not my favorite pils, but alright.

Bottle. Pours a gold color with a light white head. Decent lacing. Malty, grassy aroma along w/ flavor. Light bodied. Goes down very easily, a little bitter on the finish, but overall nice mouth feel. Very refreshing. Not bad.

Bottle. Poured a clear golden colour with only a thin white head. Awesome malt and hop aroma with a bit of grassiness. Taste has a bit of spice present but a great abundance of malt with some graininess. Nice bitter hop finish.

"Pilsener" isn’t my favorite style, but the good ones can still be pretty good. This is a good one. Pale yellow with bubbly carbonation and a more persistent head than I find usual for a pilsener. The foam, which starts out a two finger thickness, lasts at a paper-thin thickness pretty much till the end. Nice lacing. Nose is fairly potent of yeasts and fruity notes. Primary taste is tart and appely, with citrus undertones. Dry, rather hoppy finish. Drinks easy.

Smells bad, pours a clear yellow and tastes like a Rolling Rock - pale malt, metallic, watery. Not a fan.

Pale yellow, clear, with small lacing head. Nice hop aroma, grassy and even a bit spicy. Bready malts with medium bitter finish. Some tartness also.

Sparkling golden color, firm white head; aroma is grainy malty and honeyish sweet with hints of grass and citrus - slightly metallic when served cold, but the problem is solved easily; flavor is malty, sweet citrusy and slightly honeyish, and in the finish grassy hoppy with a long bitter aftertaste; body is medium, carbonation feels a bit harsh at first, but softens quickly.

330ml bottle, poured into La Chouffe tulip. A: Pale colour, small head which didn’t hang around long, minimal lacing. S: Hallertau hop, fruity, grassy. T: Lots of bitterness as title would suggest, notes of bread and grass. Balanced but uncomplex. M: Crisp, light body, well carbonated, coarse. O: A decent enough Pils, I think it might be hard to drink more than 2 or 3 because of the bitterness.

Not so good ad the Monchshof original, but still a refreshing pils. The body probably is too thin, while the aftertaste too much hoppy and bitter.
