COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Kulmbacher Edelherb is pale and dry. Its special taste is thanks to the soft brewing water from pristine, crystal-clear springs of the Fichtelgebirge, the noblest malting barley from regional farmlands, handpicked hops from the Hallertau, and our legendary brewing skills.

Apperarance was clear palish golden 1 finger lasting head with no lacing.Aromas where of sweet bready yeasts with hints of vanilla citrusy floral hops, no aclohol. Taste where of sweet bananas yeasts upfront with the citrusy lemon backend. Mouthfeel was smooth creamy carbonation with a meduim body and a slight piney hops with long wet finish.Smells better...

Light straw color with a big foamy head. Aroma of straw, yeast, and tree bark. Taste of yeast, bread, and light caramel. Bitterness not really apparent at first but developing on tongue, though not very much. Decent pilsner for those who like the style

From a 5 liter barrel:
Pours a clear, brilliant yellow color. Head is big, white and creamy. It leaves a film and a neat lacing. Aroma is herbal, fresh with notes of grass, mint, cereal grains, anise and a little of yeast in the form of cardboard. Flavor is slightly bitter, herbal with a malty base. It has sweet touches of cereal grains with a good hoppy presence, but overall flat and unexciting. Body is medium, creamy and smooth. Carbonation is low, surprisingly. Finish is medium, chalky with some earthy notes. Herbal aftertaste. A refreshing Pils but nothing to write home about.

Some mild spicy pilsner hop flavors, supported by a lightly sweet malt backbone. Not quite as crisp as I like in a German Pilsner, but still a very good one.

500ml bottle poured into a mug. Clear straw color, small white head that was gone quickly. Grainy nose, some grassy hops, mild metallic aroma and corn. Bread flavor, low-med bitterness, mild malt. Light body, dry, typical unpleasant bitter after taste. Not impressive.

Clear yellow beer with a medium foamy white head. Typical smell for a typical pils. Slightly bitter, malty, a bit sweet, fairly carbonated, unsurprising. Pretty bland and simple beer. Nothing compared to Urquell for example.
