COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Kulmbacher Edelherb is pale and dry. Its special taste is thanks to the soft brewing water from pristine, crystal-clear springs of the Fichtelgebirge, the noblest malting barley from regional farmlands, handpicked hops from the Hallertau, and our legendary brewing skills.

33cl bottle. Golden color. White head dies down, but leaves some lace. Slight fruitiness (lemon??)...moderate hop spice and mellow malt in the subdued aroma...drinks with a good balance of malt and hop spice, neither seeming to really overpower the other...crisp finish. This is a pils I’m really learning to enjoy. Plenty of flavor and a good body but maintains its mellowness and smoothness. Slowly showing me that there is more to light colored lagers than I originally thought.

From a 5 liter barrel:
Pours a clear, brilliant yellow color. Head is big, white and creamy. It leaves a film and a neat lacing. Aroma is herbal, fresh with notes of grass, mint, cereal grains, anise and a little of yeast in the form of cardboard. Flavor is slightly bitter, herbal with a malty base. It has sweet touches of cereal grains with a good hoppy presence, but overall flat and unexciting. Body is medium, creamy and smooth. Carbonation is low, surprisingly. Finish is medium, chalky with some earthy notes. Herbal aftertaste. A refreshing Pils but nothing to write home about.

pours a clear yellow with a 11/2 finger fluffy white head. aroma is pilsner malt and some hops with a little lemon. has a light to medium body with ok lacing and carbonation. flavor is the same as aroma but a little stronger. it has a small dry hop aftertaste but is a bit flay on the palate. all in all not bad of a pilsner.

Bottle. Pours a pale golden color, full white head. Aroma is earthy, sweet bread, hop resin. Taste is light sweetness. Medium-light body, thin texture, average carbonation, finish light on both sweetness and hop bitterness. Not too flavorful but pretty refreshing pils.

A bit of hops in the aroma , nothing else. Pale yellow colour and decent white head. Taste is light bitter, after taste is long and dry. Clean pils which leaves a dry mouth

on tap @ Memphis Taproom - wow - I’m surprised the rates are this low! Pours a bright gold color with a small but persistent white head. Aroma is fresh malt and spicy hops. Flavor is right on for a european brewed pilsner - crisp, dry, good malt flavor and a great spicy hop finish. I thought this was one of the more drinkable pils I’ve had all summer. No diacetyl flavors - yeah!

Pale burnt yellow. Starts off with a two finger head but fades to a quarter inch film. Has a grassy malt aroma. Crisp malt taste. mild bitterness. Refreshing and feels light. I’d be happy to have this one again.

Pours a crisp, clean golden color into the pilsner glass. Hoppy, crisp aroma. A decent pils that doesn’t distinguish itself much from others. Clean, crisp taste...but not very exciting.
