COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Kulmbacher Edelherb is pale and dry. Its special taste is thanks to the soft brewing water from pristine, crystal-clear springs of the Fichtelgebirge, the noblest malting barley from regional farmlands, handpicked hops from the Hallertau, and our legendary brewing skills.

Pours with an nice head and is pale amber in colour. I’d say a typical pils aroma - grainy with some citrus. Less carbonation than some other pils beers. Mouthfeel is quite light. Nice grassy taste, with some hints of sweetness and finishes with a well balanced bitterness. Refreshing and very drinkable, but not boring.

From bottle. Very clean gold. Thin nose, cardboard. Rate is sweet, some honey. Watery.

Bottle. Comes across a bit watery upfront but finishes neatly with an intense, sweet-bitter note and a light hoppy aftertaste. Good one.

Ins Glas ergießt sich ein klares goldgelbes Bier mit schöner Schaumkrone. Geruch hopfig, getreidig, grasig. Geschmack hopfig, grasig, lang anhaltende Bitterkeit.

Not a bad Pilsner, nice pale yellow color and white head. Light aroma with some malts and hops. Nice pilsener taste with a clean finish, but a little sweet and I’d like the hops to come through more. Easy to drink.

Pours a clear light gold (looks like apple juice) with a foamy, very white head. Nose is typical pilsner - malt, grain and also some grassiness. Taste is simple - done malt, a touch of caramel. Decent pils (although it am not usually a pils fan). ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Appearance: bright clear light gold, with one finger of quickly fading creamy white head. Aroma: light cracker, some grass and pepper. Taste: as the aroma indicates, with a bit of sweet bready malts up front. Finish: dry, clean, crisp, with a bit of lingering grass and pepper. Notes: Drinkable pils. Definitely liked it, but it’s not a world beater.

UPDATED: FEB 6, 2014 Bottle. Clear straw with a nice long lasting white head. Aroma - grainy malts, herbs and floral hops. Taste - light malt sweetness with hay and herbal notes, crispy bitterness, dry finish, pretty clean. Decent Pils.

Pale yellow clear body with white medium head and some lacing. Aromas are hops, malts and grains. Palate is medium bodied with lively little crispy carbonation and mouth feel. Aftertaste has grassy notes, malts and medium long hops finish. Clean and bitter enough with some dryness. Not the most crispy or the most flavorful one but enjoyable Pils overall.

330ml bottle, poured into La Chouffe tulip. A: Pale colour, small head which didn’t hang around long, minimal lacing. S: Hallertau hop, fruity, grassy. T: Lots of bitterness as title would suggest, notes of bread and grass. Balanced but uncomplex. M: Crisp, light body, well carbonated, coarse. O: A decent enough Pils, I think it might be hard to drink more than 2 or 3 because of the bitterness. Serving type: bottle 07-28-2013

Some mild spicy pilsner hop flavors, supported by a lightly sweet malt backbone. Not quite as crisp as I like in a German Pilsner, but still a very good one.
