Tap at Kommunbräu 07/11/2015. Hazy light brown body and a large white creamy head. Aroma of caramel, nuts, light roasted malt. Refreshing taste medium sweet and bitter. Thin body and easy to drink.

Slightly hazy amber coloured beer with a big, creme coloured head. Aromas of intense macadamia nuts, caramel and some marzipan. Nutty taste, bit thin. Unfortunately a bit musty in afteraste. Medium body and avarage carbonation. Simple and good.

From draft at the brewery in Kulmbach. Hazed copper with a fine off-white head. Toasty, bready, cereal-heavy, nutty malt aroma with touches of candy apple amber malt and faint yeast doughiness. Lightly hoppy apricot jam and herbs. Medium body, sweet, rough in the mouth, medium-low bitterness. Acidic and yeasty and dirty in the mouth. Could use longer lagering and probably benefit from a different yeast strain, since it’s showing a strong dusty circus peanut candy dirtiness.

On tap at the brewery, 13 August 2014. Slightly hazy copper in colour, with a frothy, off-white head and plenty of fizziness. A malty beer, with more cereal character than sweetness, ending with a decent, bitter finish. Enjoyable.

On tap at the brewery. Really malty and biscuit y. Tasty though. It has some digestive biscuit. I like it almost like a brown bitter.

1l-bottle bought at the Landbierdealer in Hof. Bottle looks simple but good. Beer in the glass zippy, nice creamy head. Starts mild-malty, modest sweet, some hints of caramel. More and more dry, a bit boring-malty. But still okay and quite drinkable. Not bad!

1L fresh bottle fill from the cooler@Sagasser Getränkemarkt, Coburg, Jul2013. BB 09.08.2013. This typical dense Franconian Zwickl truly is liquid bread, you can almost chew the rich grainy malts, with even a spiced meaty quality coming in from both the toasted and soggy malts and fresh earthy, peppery hops; rich oily palate: almost like a liquid buttered Schnitzelbrötchen, in fact, and just as filling. Bit odd, seamy and mouthfilling, very characteristic; not exactly refreshing, but still great to sample from the chilled original fliptop on a summer roadtrip through Unterfrankenland/Lower Franconia.

Kolor bursztynowo-miedziany wielka piana, wystarczy odrobine wlac piwa a tworzy sie niesamowicie itrwale stoji. Polecam te nietuzinkowe wrazenia kazdemu.
