Draft @ brewpub. Hazy yellow with lovely lacing. Aroma is Franken farmy fun with lots of wet grain. Palate is slightly watery. Has nice nutty grain flavors and although thin has nice, clean and balanced flavors.

Clear medium orange yellow colour with a average to large, frothy to creamy, good lacing, mostly to fully lasting, white head. Aroma is moderate malty, hay, toasted, malty, fruity, light to moderate hoppy. Flavour is moderate sweet and bitter with a average to long duration, malty, fruity. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20120405]

1l bottle from Getränkeland Münchberg. Clear golden colour, mid-sized white head. Malty base, shy reisny hops. Very moreish.

Süffig-herber, angenehm würziger Antrunk, in dem der Hopfen durchaus eine zentrale Rolle einnimmt. Dunkel süß-herb, minimal karamellig. Sehr süffig, die karamellige Würze breitet sich langsam aber stetig aus. Nett! 10/9/10/10//9

Draught at the brewpub. Good grainy aroma. Cloudy yellow colour. Big stable white head. The flavour starts off citric, turning more grainy. Turns slightly sourly grainy in the finish. OK refreshing, though.

Hazy yellow with a medium white head. Malty hints in the nose. Flavour was fairly dry with grassy hops, yeast and malty hints. Finished dry and bitter.

@ the brewpub. Very hazy blonde. Thick but low head. Funky, farmy nose with lots of pale malt notes, doughy yeast and herbal hops. Herbal hops, breezy pale malts and a dry minerally finish. Characterful beer. Yum.

(100 cl swing top bottle, shared by pivnizub – many thanks !) Hazy, pale golden coloured effervescent hue with a big fluffy and slightly off-white foam, which is quite persistent. Dusty, grainy malty and slightly citric aroma with a touch of hay and herbal hops. Bitter flavour, medium to light body, lively carbonated mouthfeel. Grainy and yeasty with a nice bitter hoppy palate; dry and bitter, quite lasting and aromatic finish. Quaffable and well-made Zwickel (20.06.06).

Bottle (1000 ml): Straw golden colured, slightly hazy, bigger, quite stable, white head, lively carbonation; mild, but aromatic hayish hoppy nose with a grainy and citrousy touch; soft bitter flavour; malty-grainy-citrousy finish with a distinctive hoppy bitterness in the aftertaste. Well made, aromatic Zwickel.....
