BMan1113VR (668), Los Angeles (and Dallas, TX), California, USA May 13, 2008 My first Keller. Pours with a small, foamy, dark, off-white head covering a cloudy, dark brown body. Aroma of fruits (currants), hay, and honey. Taste is refreshing and light. Fruity with some yeasty notes in the taste. No bitterness and tons of sweetness, kind of watery, and unconcentrated. Watery mouthfeel. Very easy to drink.
ekstedt (1739), Göteborg, Sweden Jul 19, 2008 Swing-top bottle (50 cl), purchased at Toom Getränkemarkt, Würzburg, Germany. Shady amber, large off-white head. Bready and slightly caramelly with herbal and floral hops. Medium bodied with soft carbonation. Well balanced with a mild bitterness. Very tasty. 17thfloor (590), Chicago, Illinois, USA Jul 10, 2008 Pours a murky orangish brown with a nice thick creamy beige head. Sweet caramel malt aroma followed by lots of grassy hay. Flavor follows as expected... sweet rich caramel, doughy, with a grassy bite. Unfortunately... as expected from Mochshof... there isn’t much of a finish besides a slight lingering raisin sweetness. Medium/light body with sizzling fine carbonation. Slayer85 (434), Firenze, Italy Jul 2, 2008 Swing top bottle. A lightly hazy pale amber beer with a rich and quite persistent white head. The aroma is lovely malty, quite sweet but with a good dose of hops. Some caramel and bread notes. The flavour has a balanced sweetness, tasty bready malty notes and some hops. Nice medium body, average carbonation, medium long finish with medium bitterness. Tasty. DruncanVeasey (1533), Burbage, Croatia Jun 19, 2008 Swingtop, Hamburg-Bremen. Mellow nutty caramel sipper with licks of woodsy bitterness. Simple and distinctly English-tasting. Caramel, walnut, light roast and malty goodness. Nice. Wulfstan (433), California, USA Jun 16, 2008 This is lightly hazy brownish light amber with a very big off-white head slowly shrinking to a thin top and leaving a hint of lace. The aroma is bread, yeasty sourdough, crust, pine, leaves, hint of caramel. The taste ios very bready and leafy with some spice, hints of caramel, pine, lemon, and it’s a bit zesty. It’s quite nice, a bit dry, but with flavour and easy to drink.
